  2. Euh.... ?
  4. Windows10 heeft geen winzip meer nodig.
  5. I never eject the GPS, didn't with my Colorado 300 nor Or600 or or700 in Win7 and win10 (pro).
  6. As my OR600 before my OR700 occasionally freezes (can only be switched off by removing the batteries) or switches off by itself for no reason (OK, there's probably a reason but it's not obvious). Although it's a nuisance when the GPS crashes or locks up I've always been able to get it going again. Worst case was my OR600 that would not restart and I had to connect it to my tablet with the SD card removed when out in the field. Anyway, the OR700 is the best GPS I ever had in the last 21 years.
M.a.w. Waarmee download je de PQ? (browser?).
  9. When you find and take a TB with you and start to log it, make sure the previous cacher "dropped" (logged it as put in that cache) it already. Don't just "grab" it from them if they have not logged it yet. When we pick up or leave TBs we log in the evening when we get back home so at least give people who don't log "in real time" with an app the opportunity to log.
  10. Suggestion: why not give all needed info when asking for help? It's relevant to know how you want to look for the archived caches (app, browser, PC....), It's relevant to know if it's about caches you've found, It's relevant to know if these are caches where you know who the CO is. So far; most of us are just guessing what you meant.
  11. If they are caches you previously found you can download the Myfinds PQ. If not, ProjectGC might be an option.
  12. I think it's about dumbing down (again). It must be easier, less effort, take less time...
  13. How would this be a benefit "in the field" (where the info is gathered)? Is it easy to have the website open while caching and then add WPs? How would you navigate to that WP?

  16. A1. The same rules apply for WiG as for other caches. Virtual WPs can be anywhere, physical WPs and cache can't be closer than 161m from another physical point of any cache. A3. Try the virtual tester and test yourself with what's available to you. You can also ask others with different setups to do a test run. Even then some problems might arise with some setups. We've done WiG's where we didn't get a completion code at the end, we've had cartridges crash on us, some could be restarted from a saved point others couldn't and had to be re-done from the start. The fact that GS doesn't seem to care about WiG doesn't help either. Many of the WiG's we did where fun and interesting. We did one in Lisbon that made a tour of interesting tourist spots. It took us hours to complete while walking our own planned itinerary through the city but unfortunately ended finding a destroyed cachebox. No action by the CO after several NM logs and eventually the WiG was archived by a reviewer. It looks like you only have 1 WiG near you. Try it, it seems to be a simple one taking less than an hour. Many we did took a lot longer and steered us around cities.
  17. Although I see many logs saying "found with..." but have not yet seen a "found with @.........."

    Wherigo app

  19. Note to self: put more smileys when not being serious.
  20. I checked the 60 closest disabled caches and none of them are disabled for COVID-19 reasons. With infections increasing a lot I could understand CO's disabling their caches but that would only attract more people to the remaining caches increasing the risk of coming in contact with an "infected cache". We try to go for caches that have been placed for a while so many have found them already. In the field we look at the paper logs and use hand sanitizer whenever a cache was found to recent. Since most caches are "out in the elements" we guess the virus will not survive very long, even after a day the risk is reduced a lot and the hand sanitizer will take care of what might be left..
  21. No, don't make assumptions. Out of 10000+ I gave 700+ FPs. So get off your high horse and think for a moment. I'm not even "saving" them, I don't look at them. What I do is give a FP when I find a cache memorable (for whatever reason) not because I have FPs to give. What looked as a clever hide 14 years ago now is "run of the mill", a cache that might have gotten a FP when we started might not get one now as we've "seen it (almost) all. We've done caches with 10's of FP where we thought "why?" and we've done series where every single one got a FP. Giving FP's is a personal thing, no one should "expect" to get FPs. You might want to "read up" on some threads where FPs are discussed so you'll understand the different reasons people give FP's. BTW, we're heading out today (one hour drive) with a 38 cache selection. I'm sure more than 1 in 10 will get a FP. The lowest FP count in our selection has 19FPs, the highest has 301. If I don't give the one with 19 an extra FP does that make it a bad or crappy cache? No, it might just not be a "favorite" or I may give it one if it is.
  22. Hoarding? Are you suggesting FP's should be given because a cacher has plenty? I give FP's because it's .... well... a favorite cache not because I have 300+ to give.
  23. Where do you see archived caches on the map? Once archive they do not show anymore.
