  1. My caches disappear if I zoom out too far. Is there a way to override that? TIA
  2. I have a separate database for all solved but not yet found puzzle caches. How do I keep them in my Garmin Montana and also load a regular PQ without one wiping out the other? Thanks
  3. I would like to see the Field Notes under the Found It drop down menu.
  4. Would a brand new bottle of squelch oil be of service to you?

  6. Follow this link for a nice stroll in the park and some nice virtuals in downtown phoenix. It's about ten minutes from Scottsdale. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...bf-e97fa01916e9 For dinner, go to old town Scottsdale and eat at 'Grimaldi's pizza'. Great pizza! For dessert, walk across the street to 'The Sugar Bowl'. After dinner and dessert, walk east from the sugar bowl to another nice park and enjoy! Hope this helps! Joe, Just hike.
  7. Thanks, SImpkjee. Yeah, we'll be staying a mile from the fountain, and will have all virtuals for miles around loaded in. That one is a must-do! If you are going to do some caching on a Fri or Sat, let me know. I live just down the street from the fountain. BTW, Jerome is a great place to visit. Caching in Jerome is just the cherry on top!
  8. I've had a few events here in Arizona where it's a hiking event. It's really just a way to get out and enjoy our beautiful state. Some hikes have been easy and some hard. There are caches along the route of which we are hiking but you cannot hike anywhere out here and not have a cache near a trail. I don't have the hikes to find the caches out here and for the most part there aren't a lot of caches on the trail maybe three to five. Anyway, I rate these events difficulty/terrain based on where were hiking. One I think was a 4/4. For that reason I make it a requirement that you must finish the hike. That keeps those who want a 4/4 without really trying for it to get it easily by showing up at the trail head before or after the hike and sign the log book. I'm just looking for others opinions on this. Thanks for your time.
  9. Is there a link to show me how to create a public bookmark? Thanks

  13. Can someone give me a link to somewhere that can teach me about paperless geocaching? Can you please tell me what gps units are best for doing so? thank you so much. Joe, Just hike.
  14. I'm looking for some advice on holding a caching event. I don't know if it's going to be inside or out, but if you folks would be so nice as to give me some helpful hints on how to hold a great event, I would greatly appreciate it. Since I have kids, I want it to be a fun event for the whole family.
