  1. That's what I was look for. Thank You If you look at the new page it links to, I can't find it on there.
  2. I know it has to be somewhere, but I can't find it. Does anyone know where I can find the notice that "This is a Geocache", and to leave it be, that you would put into your cache? Thx
  3. Here's the deal. The cache was in a very out of the way place where no one, that didn't know it was there, would have found it. It was down a dead end road in a pull off beside it and you had to crawl over a bunch of rocks to find it and look for it under a rock with a rock in front of it. I guess I should consider myself lucky that it lasted that long, but it was in an out of the way place with just about no traffic as there aren't any houses down the road either.
  4. OK, For the last ten years, we have only put out 2 trackables and 1 cache. All have been stolen. What's up? Are there that many sleezeable people out there that have to steal someone elses stuff? Is it parents that have to have the little things for their kids or don't care if their kids take the stuff? OK, I'm done ranting.
  5. I have an ASUS SL101 Slider. It does have a USB port and I do have a cable for the GPS. I'm not the brightest light in the box when it comes to computers. I can get around one. I'll have to try this and see if it works for me. As I understand it, I need to download the GPX file to the ASUS and then transfer it to the GPS or can I just transfer the GPX file directly to the GPS through the tablet?
  6. I have an ASUS android tablet. I'm trying to transfer cache's to my Garmin Montana 650t. It tells me I need the Garmin Communicator Plug In, but Garmin doesn't support Android devices. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can do this? Thx
  7. I was under the impression that this was limited to REI, is it universal among authorized dealers? If so, could someone provide a link? I purchased mine from Bass Pro. They matched the Walmart price of $258.00 plus gave me the $50.00 rebate. So the price with rebate was $208.00.
  8. I have had several people PM me about selling the GPS's separately. I would like to sell them as a set, but will sell one or both. I would like $125.00 for the Magellan 2200T with everything plus $10.00 shipping. I would like $150.00 for the Magellan Explorist XL with everything plus $10.00 shipping. I will lower the price to $225.00 including shipping for both GPS's or make me a reasonable offer for both units.
  9. I have two Magellan GPS's for sale. The first one is a 2200T. This unit has the crossover upgrade already installed. This is an $89.00 upgrade which makes it a 2500T. You can use it for hiking or boating along with driving. It has two mounts along with a USB cable, two cigarette lighter plugs, one 120v charger and a cupholder flexable mount, which needs to be held in place tight with shims. I have all documents that came with it, and the upgrade, and a printed copy of the manual for the 2200T. If you want to see what a 2500T does, just go to Magellan and type in 2500T. The second unit is an Explorist XL. The size of the screen puts anything out there today to shame. This unit has all the bells and whistles including MapSend DirectRoute which will give you turn by turn directions to your destination. This is loaded on a SD card installed in the unit with the CD and all instructions. There is a way to load everything onto one card. It also has MapSend Topo 3D. It comes with a suction cup mount with a cigarette lighter plug and a USB cable. This unit also has all the CD's and documentation that came with it along with a printed copy of the manual. I would like to sell all of this together as a set for $250.00 shipped to you. This is a great deal with all the upgrades and hardware that comes with these units. If you want pictures, (I don't know how to load them on this site) just PM me with your e-mail adress and I'll send them to you. Thanks for looking
  10. I just got a PN 40. If you have a Bass Pro nearby (or anybody that will match pricing and has the $50.00 rebate), print out the Walmart price off the internet of $258.00. They will match that price and then you can send in the rebate and your price for a PN 40 will end at $208.00.
  11. How large of an SD card is everyone using in the PN 40? I loaded up a 4GB card very fast with the disks that came with the unit and don't have much on them for the west region.
  12. As far as I know, the Nuvi 500 & 550 are the only ones. They are not wide screen though. The 500 comes with topos and the 550 doesn't. I had an 885T that I sold because it wouldn't work either and the battery was always on, even if the unit was turned off, unless you removed it.
  13. Find a place that matches prices. I just did it with a PN-40. With the rebate it ended up costing me $208.00.

  15. Just for info. Some retailers, that are giving the rebate, will match pricing from other retailers. Walmart sells the PN 40 for $258.00. If you print that off and take it into a retailer that does price matching, they will sell you the GPS for $258.00 and give you the rebate to send in so your net price will be $258.00 plus tax minus the $50.00 rebate.
  16. I just left Bass Pro. They have matched the REI price and rebate. The PN 40 is $299.95- a $50.00 rebate, so it's $249.95 plus tax out the door.
  17. You need a GPS that is designed for aircraft use. The refresh rate on the auto or hiking units isn't fast enough to track the satellites.
  18. If you can do without a few fancy features, REI has the Delorme PN 30 on sale now for $169.95.
  19. I've been considering replacing my Magellan 2500T with this unit. How is it for accuracy Geocaching?
  20. I was new to caching. Found a few and decided to add one of my own cache's. I found a great spot and decided to add a Travel Bug later because they were fun to watch travel. Well I did. Never left the cache before someone stole it. I e-mailed the people that were there and nobody saw it. Oh well, I guess it just happens. Just disapointing as it was the first one and it got 0 miles.
  21. Could someone please help me. I now have a Magellan Explorest XL. I love the size of the screen. Does anyone know of the best bang for the buck paperless GPS I could replace this with. I don't do as much caching as I would like to so new or slightly used would be OK. Maybe possible trade with cash? Thx
