  1. Still seeking help on why my coordinants I type in are not comming up right? They are about a half mile off. EVERYTHING else is fine, including the Datum.
  2. wow, that last reply lost me at hello.
  3. is datum (WGS84) correct for southeast TN? Mine was set to Tristian 68' and doing a search I keep seing the WSG84 one pop up. Also, how do I get the base map, the yellow/brown one back into a iQue 3600? I deleted it.
  4. bump, also how do I use the webupdater. It will not reconize my PDA even though I can download everything else fine.
  5. AND I DELETED THE BASEMAP! Not the city select but the brown with lakes and rivers one. What do I do?
  6. Make sure your coordinate format is the same as the one used by the website. i.e. hdd mm.mmm (degrees and decimal minutes). Also, if possible, use a cable to download the coordinates. It avoids many typing mistakes. The coordinate format is the same. I am downloading cachemate right now, hope that helps.
  7. just got this and I have read and played till I am blue in the face. I have installed and downloaded the map details, city select v6 into the iQ and every thing "seems" to be working fine but... When I type in the cordinants for a new cache, they come up wrong. About a mile off. Routing to the destinations are correct roads and position but the cache coordinatnts are wrong. What is going on? Any help? BS
  8. I don't plan on doing hikes with geocaching certainly nothing rugged or in the rain, just urban finds. So it sounds like I will be okay. Good.
  9. Okay, I am new to this. If I get this, am I going over my head? I want to cache hunt, but my wife is direction disfuntional and I thought it would be good for her car too. I had the e legend for a few days and it was okay but needed a better map so I went looking on ebay and found the iQue that was loaded with a map and had a car kit for $60-70 more so I thought why not? We will use it on vacation driving and on occasion for a location in town but we really want to get into this geocaching game even though we struck out 3 times in a row. I did a search and there were some good points and mostly bad thoughts on the battery life but not much on the use for the "common man".
  10. They seem to be going cheap on Ebay(200ish) and look like they are worth it. You guys are the experts, what do you think?
  11. On a new GPS, and sofware. We are interested but don't want to spend the cash if we don't like it or can't find anything. So what is the difference from using Google earth if finding urban caches?
