  1. Thank goodness videos aren't allowed. I wish emoticons would be added to the list of things not allowed in logs.
  2. Another example of a 'fix' for a non-existent problem. I really wish the developers would work on the myriad of problems instead of changing things like this.

    Wherigo

I use my Garmin 450 for Wherigo geocaches.
  4. I'll wager nobody has a notification set for the publishing of a new Virtual, and may not be aware of its existance
  5. A PMO cache should NOT be opened to all for a promotion.
  6. You can search by Attributes with a Pocket Query.
  7. If your cache is a typical Micro and has a strip of paper, I'll sign in the first blank space I find (unless I happen to be FTF & you have a spot for that). I'm not worried about chronological order on logsheet/strips, and if that matters to a CO, they can adjust their expectations. If your cache has a log BOOK, I'll go to the next available page and write a sentence or a few.
  8. Normally, it does. The issue is that for some, the yellow dot persists at all times.
  9. The ability to combine lists would be a great option. The ability to hide my Favorites list from others view would be a great addition to privacy.
  10. The game you describe would only work for cell-phone cachers who are in an area with signal. Those of us who use GPS and try to get away from town can't play your game. (and your diversion has nothing to do with this thread) Back on topic, the number of Found It logs with text that states no find was made has dramatically increased after the pre-populated log type bug was introduced in the new logging experience. I suppose the developers think that finders are either too stupid or too lazy to choose the proper log type. Otherwise why would they foist that design on users?
  11. Which is exactly why there should NOT be a default log type. Force people to choose the log type, so they can see that there are options for different situations.
  12. More evidence of the need to remove the automatic log type (defaults to Found It) from the cache logging page. Programmers must make the finders choose their log type, or we will continue to see these.
  13. Please define "my own souvenir". Do you mean some picture as a part of the website, or do you mean something physical that a finder can take home as a momento of your hide? Or do you have a different meaning?
  14. Log out of the Forum, and upon logging back in, you should be tagged as Premium Member.
  15. I don't currently qualify and, due to my location, may never, but I love this Challenge.
  16. In Australia, I'd presume that EVERY cache had the Dangerous Animals attribute!
  17. I'm not happy about the changes to the forum in this update. Not having the title of the next thread is a big annoyance to me. The random issue of the 'error message' when there are no more unread threads, instead of the pruor behavior of that link being gone, seems like inept or uncaring programming. Those developer hours could have been spent fixing the Drafts issues, recurring notice of souvenir earned, or some of the myriad other issues within the app or website.
  18. Are people really upset that there are un-named benefits to Premium Membership? Please don't mention the secret PMO Forum.
  19. The EC is rated at D 4.5. Cachers KNOW in advance that it is a very difficult EC, and the description even states such. Delete the logs of those that don't attempt every question.
  20. So a finder can expect to be able to drop a trackable inside?
  21. Different areas have different Reviewer's, who may handle things with different methods. Often, if a cache has only a few DNF logs, and no Needs Maintenance logs, a Needs Archive log may get no action by the Reviewer - especially if the person filing the NA has a cache in the Review queue that is being blocked by that reported cache. Can't you just move your new cache that little bit out of the red circle, instead of trying to have another cache archived?
  22. If you are a Premium Member, you can do the same procedure with a Pocket Query, and load several hundred caches at once.
  23. There are many geocaches that have lots of DNF logs. Not every cache is missing after a few DNF logs. The standard procedure is to log a Needs Maintenance. This puts everyone on notice that there may be an issue with the cache. After 30 days, if the cache owner hasn't reacted, then log a Needs Archive.
