  1. Thanks everyone for the responses you definitely gave me things to think about and suggestions to consider.
  2. I'm thinking of creating my first Night cache, I was thinking of using the UV Paint to mark where to go, but i know its more common to use the fire tacks, What are pros and cons of both types?

  4. I would click on the View Geocaching Map under the Play tab, only the side bar where I can filter the types shows up, I have no icons on the map, no roads, no picture it's just white.
  5. The past few days I've had trouble viewing the Geocaching Map on my Laptop, I've tried several different browsers including, IE, FireFox, Chrome and Safari, nothing on either. I tried rebooting computer still nothing, I even tried a system restore to a time I know I saw it, yet again nothing. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
  6. I use both a c:geo app and a Magellan eXplorist. I have had success with both. I recently was at a cache where I was using the Magellan and it was bouncy, so I decided to try the app and the app was helpful in it not being jumpy and I could read all the previous logs. I also use the app for a quick FTF or smaller adventures that it would waste the battery on the Magellan to turn on. Good Luck
  7. All my PQ's I download to my eXplorist 110 I did what D3V1N did except I had to unzip them. I used a free program called jzip. www.jzip.com you unzip it from there and Extract the file to the proper unit. Hope that helps
  8. I want to place my first Sudoku cache. I have the Sudoku on paper and on Excel Spreadsheet. I've seen Sudoku caches have puzzles on the Description and in the image gallery. I would like to place it under the Description How do I do that? Thanks
  9. For me it depends on the type of stealth required one of my favorites is: I have a Hard Hat, Florescent vest and clipboard in case I'm going for a LPC or urban cache where the outfit looks like I'm checking or performing maintenance on the cache.
  10. There is a cacher in my area that hasn't been active in a few years. There are a few of his caches I wanna see stay active and others I could care less. If I wanna see them stay I'll put them on my watchlist and if anything happen aka NM log or anything I'll go out and perform Maintenance then post a note of the Cache Page. I might not be the official owner but I'm the Maintenance Man and keep it active. If a NA Log is posted I'll post a note explaining what I've done and let them decide if it should be archived because it is being maintained. Here is a current scenario I've been dealing with: We had a local cacher pass away and he had 37 active caches, I'm in contact with the son and started planning a Rememberance event with the potential to adopt his caches. I contacted my Local reviewer and he told me they did not have to be adopted or archived as long as they are maintained by the geocaching community. The Son contacted GC HQ which stated the spouse is the legal owner of the account and caches, if she wants them adopted that's fine if not they can't be adopted at this point. The spouse and the any part of the family have been invited to the event. We're hoping if the spouse sees the love and support we all had for her husband that she will allow them to be adopted. Hope this helps and good luck
  11. I've done a few NM types and usually needs a little maintenance and I did not have what it needed, or the container was in need of maintenance. If it's the container I'll take a picture of it and send a email to the owner before posting a NM. I've only done 1 NA and it was a multi in a neighboring state. There had been several DNF's and a few NM without anything from the CO. The Admin waited a few weeks in order for the CO to respond to it and he never did. The cache was Archived.
