  1. Hi All, I'm trying to think of some ideas of how to create a "specialty lock" of sorts for a ammo can I have. I have heard/seen of the following... 1) Padlock and key 2) Possible multi with a combo lock 3) Some sort of "frequency" lock I'm trying to think of a cool and unique to be able to open a cache that might require a special tool of some sort. I'm having a "cachers block" of sorts so I'm hoping a fellow member might have some new and unique way of doing somthing wheter it be a cache you have seen or done. Thanks!!!! The Weasel
  2. I still got more nickels I can trade, so e-mail me if your interested!! weaselts1@msn.com Thanks! The Weasel
  3. And just as a side note, for me, it doesn't even need to be wooden nickel. I trade for all sig items!
  4. Just a bump to see if there are any more people intrested in trading!! I think I have responded to everybody who sent me an e-mail. If I didn't, just send me another e-mail and I will get ya taken care of
  5. Here is mine if anybody is interested in trading!!! e-mail me at weaselts1@msn.com
  6. I know I have the Fith Element sountrack somewhere and I don't even listen to it anymore. If I am able to locate it, I would be more than happy to give it to ya!
  7. Might be able to add some texture under translucent brown enamel. I'm no expert (far from it) but I was thinking along those lines. What do I know.... I'm just a stupid girl It can be done in both 2d and 3d (done both), but print would probably look most authentic color-wise. If you do 2d or 3d I'd suggest antique copper as a metal finish. I've done brass, bronze and gold as well, but copper seemed to give us the best results. I'm curious to what people think is a better look, the POP goes the Weasel that Clarkbowman was nice enough to provide, or the idea concept that I am thinking about with the Weasel character behind a podium giving the Nixon "Victory" sign with "In caching we trust" around the coin. I do like the idea of the antique copper look. Is this a coin that people would want to see or trade for or buy? This is my first coin attempt so I want to get the vibe on it as well all know its not cheap to make a coin. From what I have seen, do most people sell a good majority of their extra coins on Ebay and stuff? I know that most coin places have a set minimum of like 100, and I know I wont need 100 coins. For those of you that have had coins made, which companies have done a good job/quality/service,a nd which companies should I stay away from? (You can send me an e-mail if your not comfortable calling companies out on the message board). Thanks everybody for your advice!!!
  8. If it helps, what I am thinking so far for the back is a "weasel" like character standing behind what looks like a Whitehouse podium giving the Nixon "victory" sign. I was thinking about having a around the coin in the back something like "In Weasel We Trust" or "In CITO/Caching we trust" something like that.
  9. The problem is, it's not getting better. Absolutely not a peep of an udpate, and I KNOW they have a clue. People that are near and dear to them read this thread every day . . . So how would we rank them? 1. Wyoming 2006 2. Titanic/ Lady Luck remint 3. Dragonfly 2008 ????? The wyoming was pretty bad, but I actually move that to 2nd on the list since I did eventually get my coin order. The last several orders from geocoin design would be #3 since I was only effected by the cats and those did arrive faster than these Dragonflys. My payment for the Dragonfly is outstanding since MAY 27th. That's really pathetic. I think it's time for Groundspeak to make a call to these people. SoCal has got to be up there too. LOL, well I might be having a new personal geocoin coming down the line if I can get some help designing the back of it. (See my desperate attempt of a plea thread) and the winning design will receive a few coins from me for helping! You are really going to throw that out in a discussion about the worst coin sales ever? Ouch, that's kinda hurtfull. Now I know why I left for 3 years! Nothing says "welcome back" like a snide remark. Sorry I asked for help in a thread.

  11. Try posting in the Geocoin Forum threads for more replies It's great to be back!!! Now if I hopefully get help with a design, I will be fully back in action!!
  12. So far the companies I have checked with don't seem to think the "wood" look would be much of a problem. I just need to come up with some sort of design for the back. I'm hoping that there might be some good Photoshopians that might be able to use their artistic genius and create a cool design for the coin. Maybe a slogan of some sort like "Not caching for 7 days makes 1 WEAK!" or something like that. I am COMPLETELY open to all suggestions and designs!!!
  13. Hi fellow geocoiners, I am in desperate help with creating a design for the back of my geocoin that I am wanting to make. I had somebody help design a "wooden nickel" design for me a few years ago, but is now outdated. I don't have the skillset to creat a design or know much about doing it via Photoshop or whatever is needed to create one. I have posted below what the front of the coin is probably going to look like. The only thing I was looking at was keeping the "wood" look to it, but other than that anything goes as far as I'm concerned. If ANYBODY is willing to help me I would be very greatful. In fact, I would even be willing to give a few geocoins that I create to whoever comes up with the best design! If anybody can help a struggling cacher, either post your design here or send it my way to.. weaselts1@msn.com http://img.geocaching.com/user/64070_1600.jpg

  16. Hi Everybody, Well after a 3 year sabatical, I'm trying to get back into caching like I had been before. Well, I have run into an issue. I had some help from somebody on the boards here to help design my wooden nickle. I was wondering if somebody might help a fellow cacher out with desiging a new back logo for my wooden nickle. The main thing I like is the "wood" looking background effect. I would be even open to redoing the main logo if somebody can come up with a better one. Any help on this would be great as I lack the know-how to do these types of designs/logos. Shoot me an e-mail at weaselts1@msn.com if you can help. Thanks a bunch!! The Weasel
  17. Hmmmm, in one picture you see the emergency brake pulled up. I wonder if he tried a power slide or something? All I know is the last thing through that guys mind was his butt!!
  18. Yikes, you just got 20 years of golfballs and broken McToys!!!
  19. WWJD.....I think he would say Fudge it and lets get to some caching already!!!
  20. I have bought 3 or 4 geocoins, and they will be the last ones I buy. only 2 of the 4 I have released are still out and about. I have 15 TB tags and all of them are ok or in my possesion. Why the geocoins are way better and cooler, it makes them more apt to be stolen. I would rather pay the same for the regular ole tags so I know they will be around longer.
  21. It's weird that the colors are red, white, and blue
  22. I am interested!!! Shoot me a e-mail at weaselts1@mchsi.com and we can make some arrangements with each other!!
  23. I have 8 TB's that don't have goals yet. When are you going to Hawaii? I can send you a TB via snail mail to have you drop off there and we can see how long it takes to get back to my house in Iowa. You can contact me at weaselts1@mchsi.com if you are interested!! Tim, aka The Weasel
