  1. So I contacted Magellan with this problem, they had me give them my serial number of my device (which is over 3 years old). Customer service was very helpful and informed me my model of the explorist 110 was not able to handle the update and has rendered my device useless. For this inconvenience Magellan shipped me a refurbished Magellan 110 that was updated and in better shape than my unit. So problem solved and if you encounter a similar problem with your 110 unit after the 1.62 update I would give them a call. Im a happy camper now.
  2. Updated my explorist 110's software to version 1.62 from version 1.19, immediately following the update my unit would not power on. I did the reset (by pressing the button like three or four times) and it finally powered back on, but once I powered it off again it would not power on again, I had to reset again to get it on and this now happens everytime i power it down. I can't help but think the update created this problem, anyone have any feedback for me or experienced a similar problem?
  3. Magellan customer service wasn't very helpful when I talked to them. They said that an update would be released for it soon (no date yet), thats all they could tell me. But according to Glitchee-gummee that last digit will not have much effect on my search. I appreciate your quick replies and any other information is greatly appreciated.
  4. when i type in the coords to my computer it shows the final location about 100 feet in the opposite direction. One area being right next to a grave site the other area being on the edge of a ravine. Its a micro cache and that just seems like a very large area to search for such a small cache?
  5. Double checked the number and it is definitely coca cola.
  6. So i called that number because i have been having problems with my Magellan explorist 110. I called the number and it is a coca-cola number. I was just wondering what exactly is going on.
  7. So i have been geocaching for about 6 months now. After my first month I purchased the explorist 110 and it has worked great for traditional caches, but this last week I have attempted some multi-caches requiring me to input coordinates. After making sure the setting were correct i entered the new coordinates and saved the way point but for some reason my explorist changes the last number from a 6 to 7. Thus altering the final location. I called Magellan about this issue and asked me about what software im running (1.06). Then told me i need to update my device, but.... the update is not out yet and is still being worked on. So i am wondering if anyone else is having this problem and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The coordinates i am entering are N 41.42.55(6) W 083. 41.865 the six in parenthesis automatically changes to 7
