  1. I have a Garmin Streetpilot c530. I load it up with caches from a GSAK GPX file, select favorites and off I go. Now I am looking to replace the old 530 and get something with newer maps and text to speech. I see units from $150 to $1000. I am kind of partial to the Garmin's but maybe something else is better? Has anyone tried the Nuvi 260W? Let me know what you are using and your likes and dislikes. Thanks
  2. Log them as found or DNF and they are gone. They don't show up on the "Next Nearest". The way that we cache, I would like a "delete" choice. I just download a PQ with 15 - 70 caches then go for them. If I decide not to look for one I would like to delete it from the list so that it doesn't show as the nearest. I love the CO 300. I have 2 60CSx's. Anyone want to buy one?
  3. I'm not sure if this has been addressed or not, I wish Under log attempt, there was a 5th choice. That would be "Delete". "Unattempted" leaves the cache on the list and it shows up on "nearest to" How about someone inventing a USB cable with a switch on it so you could switch the DATA lines in or out when plugged into the computer. That way you could see your changes without having to go through the unplug, reboot, plug in, reboot etc. You could make Millions!!
  4. DUH! You may be right! I was fooling around with MetroGuide the other day and I may have loaded a small map on the unit instead of the card. Thanks!
  5. Last night while messing around I accidentally deleted one of the map files from my CO 300. Not sure what the files name was but I now only have the file called - gmapbmap.img 92708 KB on the machine. I know that I had 2 gmmap?map.img files on the machine. Is there anyway that someone could send me the lost file? Or tell me where I could download it? Or is it needed? I don't notice any difference in the Colorado's operation. Thanks
  6. I noticed on my 300, that the O-ring around the batteries was rolling out of its groove (near the top) when I closed the cover. The cover would shut enough to engage the clasp but there was a cap between the cover and the main body of the unit. I could hold the gasket in place using a fingernail while I closed the cover and then everything would close correctly! I wrote to Garmin about this problem and they had me return the unit. My new one should be delivered today and I am going to watch and see if the gasket on this one gets out of the groove.
  7. I use a 2 gig micro that I took out of my 60CSx with City Navigator on it. It works great.
  8. Hey Grumpy! Get ready for all kinds of problems! Sent mine back the other day. Gasket around the batteries was falling off. I had 30 caches loaded in it and it crashed on 4 of them! I had to remove the batteries to get it to work. It is slow to respond with the arrow pointer. Maps don't scroll, i could go on and on! Keep your 60csx and get a good PDA.
  9. I have had 2 of the phone type clips from Garmin break. Both times the 60CSx fell to the ground. The Colorado fits really nice in my pocket.
  10. I am seriously thinking of getting the Colorado 300 (I don't need any of the topo stuff). If someone could answer the following questions it might make the decision easier. 1. Is the complete cache description available on the unit (size, difficulty, terrain, hint and the long description)? 2. Are the logs (at least the last 4-5) available? 3. Would I be better off staying with my 60CSx and upgrading my IPAQ 1950 (hard to read in the sunlight) to the new IPAQ 210 (Not out yet but has a better screen)? Thanks
  11. I do most my trip planning using Bookmarks. Not having them show up, leads to tons of extra time for me clicking a looking to see if I have already booked a cache. Please bring back that feature.
  12. Of course! Go to your "My Created Routes" page, click on the name of the route to edit it, scroll all the way down and click "delete this query" Boy do I feel like a dummy! Thanks!
  13. I just got back from a 20 state trip and I created a route for each state that we went through. Now when I go to My created routes, they are all still there. Is there any way to delete them? If I create new routes they end at the bottom of the list. A small pain, but still a pain in the ****.
  14. Mine is not dropping the last digit. I have cases where the last 2 digits were off. And it does send the cache as a waypoint, not a Geocache to my 60CSx
  15. Every time I use the new feature - "Send to GPS" the coordinates that are sent are incorrect! They do not match the listed coordinates on the web page. They are even wrong on the caches that I placed! Am I alone in having this problem?
  16. Hi, After going to an event I came home with tons of "discovered" coins and TB's. Is there a easy way to log all those discoveries?
