  1. Found this while hiking up Bell Rock in Sedona, AZ. Is it a benchmark? Is there a way to log it?
  2. Still hanging in there...but by a thread....Several puzzle caches have gotten me beyond frustration....most of my geocoins have gone missing....TBs are missing....GRRRRR!
  3. I've decided never to do another puzzle again. Way too frustrating. Some owners are okay with their "help" while others are definitely not. Gets me too frustrated and nearly making me want to quit. Most puzzles are too esoteric or require mind reading of the owner. No thanks! Would much rather find traditional caches instead.
  4. Have been thinking about giving up my hobby and was wondering how to get my TBs back. How does one do that? Do I email people who currently have it and ask them to mail them to me (while offering postage costs?) or do I post a note saying please have it travel back to a local cache? Hmm... Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Very cool! Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and everyone else here!
  6. Your cache containers are always very clever! You folks will love using them!
  7. Congrats! I only have 900 to go to catch up with ya! Watch out!
  8. Figured it out. Yeah...I can't tell if they were muggled or not. Looks like they were just sort of abandoned. What a shame. Gorgeous park! I wished I lived closer so I could place some there.
  9. What about October 28th? too soon?? Only weekend in Nov. I can do would be Nov. 18. How are these dates for people?
  10. I was thinking....bryant park would be great. Completely centrally located with lots of tables (and one micro)
  11. Hi Fluttershy! We were the finders of your first cache! And, I must say, it is our all-time favorite! WE LOVED IT!!! Would love seeing more in Prospect Park. The park is screaming for more. Thanks again for your very generous FTF prize (nobody seems to do these anymore!) and for your nice selection of swag. Gracepap and Lucypap
  12. Hi Harry. Thanks. But, got the map up and it didn't show any caches (archived or otherwise). I had everything checked off. Maybe it doesn't work with firefox. Will try later with IE. Were they all muggled???
  13. Fall is my favorite so far. Highly allergic to poison ivy so will be glad when it's diminished. Love the lack of bugs too. Looking forward to winter caching as well. Here in NYC snow is hardly a problem.
  14. Did the new PP cache today (Birds of Lullwater) and LOVED it! Since I've only been GCing since April--I was wondering--where are all the Prospect Park caches??? I saw numerous hiding places...Were there caches before that were muggled?? Just curious.... Grace
  15. He He! I gotta laugh at that one! I would say South Central Park and LF's Snack. If in Brooklyn, you gotta do the new one in Prospect Park (Birds of Lullwater)
  16. Or maybe even Washington Sq. Park or Tompkins Sq. Park so everyone can do the LES caches???
  17. I prefer a weekend day as well. My kids enjoy attending and can only do so on a Saturday or Sunday. Union Sq. is a good option. Convenient for anyone wanting to do those LES caches. Also convenient to the Strand Bookstore which I need to get to again. Hmmmmm.....thinking....
  18. Now that Kohler Kon is cancelled, it would be great to do one last event here in the city before winter closes in. I LOVE Central Park in the fall. It's my favorite time of year. Maybe we could arrange one further uptown this time. Near the North Woods perhaps? Any other fall locations in the city would be welcome. Anybody interested in one more meeting for 2006? Grace EDIT: I was just thinking...Bryant Park might be a great spot. Convenient for all. Lots of tables and chairs....
  19. Thanks! I'll get down there next week and do some more scouting.....
  20. Been thinking about Battery Park and the surroundings. There are some beautiful parks there owned by Battery Park City. Do you think it's okay to place a cache in one of the parks? I know BPC is a corporation but it is a public trust corporation set up by the state..... I have one cache in mind...it would probably have to be a micro....but I wonder if it's okay to do so.... Of course, I realize the sensitivity of the immediate area. I wouldn't want people traipsing around Ground Zero for a cache, but the parks and other areas further south would be great. What do you think?
  21. As a quick follow-up, it got all over me and I had to go to the doctors to get steroid shots...got prescription creams and prednisone pills too. I was always very allergic. I thought I had avoided it but it probably brushed onto my shorts or backpack. I'm pretty friggin' miserable. Think I'll stick to urban caches/micros for awhile.
  22. Dealing with a bad case of poison ivy on my arms and a little on my legs from geocaching this past weekend. Spotted the stuff in 2 of the caches we visited. Tried to avoid it but it was impossible. Made the mistake of wearing short sleeves and shorts. Won't be doing that again. I'm scratching like crazy....I do wish people wouldn't put caches near the stuff. I know....in the winter it's not there...but stilll.....they gotta know it's around in the spring/summer. Grrrr...
