After scrolling thru 5 pages of posts, i see the last post was that one of my three were received... i was starting to get very nervous. Mine and the football king should have arrived also, so i hope they get posted soon. I have not gotten mine, will post when i do

All three of mine are going out tomorrow, priority, so hopefully they make it in time since they are all domestic. Life and an illness got in the way and thankfully someone one facebook sent me a quick reminder that i still had the boxes in my car for over a week! The new map looks.... Childish? I am not sure how to describe it. Maybe bubbly would be better way to put it. This will take some getting used to. Can you see disabled caches on the map? I went on to check on one near me and i could not find it with the new map. The only thing i had ever seen anyone complain about (myself included) was that the blue DNF face did not show on the map. I had hoped that if they every changed the map, it would reflect that, but nope, still nothing.

Recently i noticed i was no longer getting any emails from geocaching (logging my event, my caches, tbs, recent caches in my area). Up to last week, i was getting plenty, now i need to check the actual cache pages to make sure everything is ok with my caches. I am using hotmail.com Did anyone else have this problem and how do i fix it?

other then the mentioned irks.. i would have to say the spelling either on the cache pages or the responses from emails. When its on the page and its just a word, thats fine, but a ton of mistakes make me want to ignore. Also, a few times i have asked for a hint or a nudge in the right direction of the puzzle. then, with the answer i get back, i cant even make out what they are trying to say giving me more of a headache.

Hoping someone can help, been trying to locate 1 of the magellan gc gps, but having NO luck in the store. Every store has clearanced them and sold out and no longer getting more. does anyone know if magellan is making a new version on the gc? or does anyone have a store by them that has at least one? I want to get one at the store, with a warranty since its for a special needs child. yes i know they are selling them on the sight, but iv seen them cheaper in the store, and i need a cheap one. yes i have looked in the "garage sale" forum, but no luck there yet either. thank you all in advance

Looking to get a second gps for my son. Hes been coming caching with me alot lately and has fallen in love with it. He doesnt understand all the rules of sports, so this is the perfect activity for him outside. Hes 5 years old and autistic, but improving more and more each day. I would LOVE to get him his own gps, he really wants one. Since we are a family of 5, someone always seems to have the family one, so we really need a second one. I would love to surprise him with one under the tree! Cheap or maybe even free would be wonderful. I currently have the Magellan - eXplorist GC Handheld GPS - Gray/Green. I am trying to get one the same or close to it, as not to confuse him to much. Thank you all in advance

I started doing caching in september and i love it. BUT the only person i know who does it lives an hour away. I'd like to find someone in my area who would like to run out and do one (or more) whenever... and maybe even do a day trip to do a bunch. I am in Avenel (woodbridge NJ)

ok, just checked and tdm22 could be right, it says 1.0 when i turn it on, so it must have been sitting on the shelf for a while. I posted on that forum, but how do i update the software?

everything is checked under geocaches. is there an update? even tho i JUST got this gps a week ago.

i am marking them also. i get the little smiley on the left side of the list, but when i go to the map, i even just tried going to one that i never marked in the gps, went on the map page and marked it found, but its still showing the box

we actually tried fora while and even compared the 2 side by side, but no luck. he has had his for a while, and doesnt rember if he had to do anything special on it. i have tried google and so far no luck.

Is there a place to update the gps? mine does not show the smiley faces on the map (even tho i just bought it!) and that is a feature i really want.

I just recently bought the GC gps, as it was the one my friend has. I noticed on his that when he finds a cache, it comes up a smiley face on the map. Mine does not, and that was a feature i really liked. Does any one know what i need to chance on mine to get it to do that?
