  1. Correct... I did not log the cache as it was out of reach. And you can't see my notes or DNFs.
  2. What do you mean, you can't find an AL bonus of mine with a special tool attribute? It's not my geocache. I posted a note on an AL bonus cache that I could see hanging way up in a tree. The CO responded to my note, telling me to obtain a fishing pole. No interest in doing that. Not now, not ever. "Even if I get it down from its perch, I have no way of replacing the cache 🤷‍♀️" What I'd like to see is a tree fishing attribute, so I can filter them off the map.
  3. I went to log an Adventure Lab bonus cache a few days back and it had an attribute for a Special Tool. And the tree climbing attribute was crossed out. Problem though as it turned out to be a tree fishing geocache. Many COs put a tree fishing symbol in the title, at least. This cache did not have one. It was a short walk to GZ. However, if I'd driven or trekked for miles, I would not have been a happy camper to discover this Terrain 1.5 geocache was unable to be logged. AND the CO had the cheek to message me and say it was my own fault for showing up unprepared, as the cache had a Special Tool attribute. I have multiple tools in the kit that can be used for geocaching. But have no intention of purchasing (at some cost) a bulky fishing pole. Some cachers are out there with broken fishing poles as they're not designed for shoving up trees. Can HQ please sort out the tree fishing mess? I do not expect to be able to log every geocache. Particularly as I'm of small stature. But the proliferation of tree fishing in some areas is a runaway train. An attribute for a pole would be helpful and some way to filter them out. AND perhaps AL bonus caches should be achievable by most of us? Thx.
  4. Will do in the morning if it doesn’t resolve itself overnight. Frustrating. Almost had it done.
  5. I’m about to reconfigure a few mystery caches that are linked to jigidi. Jigidi is a website owned by an Danish couple (family) and they suspend, ban and delete accounts on a whim. That makes it unsuitable for geocaching puzzles which require permanency to be workable. There is also the issue of tracking and advertising across Jigidi. Adverts can only be removed if you pay. It’s becoming more of a problem as so many puzzle caches are now linked to Jigidi accounts. There are hundreds, entire series of Jigidi caches, where I’m based.
  6. This is my third AL so don’t think it’s a user problem 🤷‍♀️
  7. I’m getting the invalid anti forgery token message when I try to create a lab cache location. It was working fine for the first four locations. Have tried over and over to get the final location up. It’s driving me nuts. Copy/paste. Any ideas? Username and cookies all OK 👍
  8. Carry wipes and hand sanitiser and it’s business as usual. More chance of being hit by a bus crossing the road to log a cache.
  9. Suggested not decreed as each state has sovereignty.
  10. The local crackhead got one in round 2, so crime does pay ?
  11. I’m trawling this forum today because I was creating a puzzle and intended to make use of exif data. Seems it’s no longer an option. Lots of recent changes to the geocaching website and features. Nothing useful, some annoying. But when I contacted Groundspeak to suggest a useful feature the response suggested they were flat out making updates. Oh well.
  12. Oh no ? it added value on occasions when it was used
  13. Did this feature vanish? I have a related web page on a previous listing, but there’s no option on my newly-created cache listings ?
  14. Does anyone know what happened in the death of an experienced cacher in Portugal? http://coord.info/GC4WV5E
  15. Compatitility view did not work Finally got in with Chrome by allowing Cookies!!!
  16. I can log in on an iPhone5 and an iPad Air2! Can't log in on my laptop with IE or Chrome Ms Maddy
  17. I have tried everything to log into Wherigo.com and it won't let me do it on the laptop I can log in on my iPhone5. But don't want to build a cartridge on a mobile. The problem does not seem to be browser-based as I've tried IE and Chrome. Tried logging into other Groundspeak websites and switching back and forth. Adjusted browser and firewall settings. Not much left to try, to be honest Frustrated in spades!!! Is it worth persisting with my Wherigo project?
  18. Hi there. There seems to be a profileration of caches hidden on kiddy swings and slides and so on. It is getting worse around my home turf and I find this alarming. A local newbie has even named his playground caches after his toddler daughter and stated that she likes to play there and when. This is disturbing! If commonsense doesn't kick in, then perhaps Groundspeak needs to ban these hides altogether? So many time I've rocked up to GZ to discover the coords are in a children's playground. There are so many better places to hide a cache. How hard can it be to avoid playgrounds??? I log these types of hides at night, which will probably get me arrested sometime. The other option is to put them on the Ignore list Ms Maddy Queensland, Australia
  19. I came across a cache this week that was on an actual gravesite in a cemetery and disguised as a small silver pot of dusty fabric flowers. Cacher buddy and I discussed if we should move the cache to a spot nearby. We were horrified when we realised that had to be the container! Sometimes commonsense is sadly lacking in cache placement
