  1. I recall an informational page to be copied by the trackable owner to place with trackable in the cache, telling the finder what it was and what to do. I can't find this on the website. Please tell me where I can download this info note. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion. Just what I needed.
  3. I travel alot and get tired of reading thru my queries to find the really interesting or best hike caches. How do I get to lists in a particular area or at least -state? The locals favs? Thanks.
  4. There are soooo many caches in this area. We're visiting for a few days and want to do some special (easy-moderate) hikes and find fun caches (not a micro lover tho). Any suggestions of good ones??? Thanks.
  5. I know this cacher and she could mark each one! I'm in the Jr. Addict stage.
  6. Group of rving cachers looking for some fun hides in the area. Thanks.
  7. Is there someone in Grand Junction, CO who is very familiar with the Oregon gps? Would love to get together and get some tips on it's use. Thanks.
  8. As I said in previous posts, I am very challenged by electronic technology. I love to cache and want to be able to use a Palm to download pages from geocaching.com. I am trying to work my way thru instructions that I do not understand. Via Bluetooth adapter, I think I have down loaded the palm installation. And I think I have downloaded the GSAK data. But I can't make anything work. So now--could someone in this area, today or tomorrow, get together with me and help me set this up and explain very simply, how to use the interface, data and devices? I really am frustrated. Thanks. Bug Seeker (Judy)
  9. Yes and no on the vista compatibility. 32 bit vista will work with hot sync manger, 64 bit will not. Its the USB drivers. If you have 32 bit vista download the 6.2 desktop and your good to go. But if it is 64 bit vista then bluetooth is probably you best choice if you have a bluetooth compatible palm. Jim Thanks for the info. I have downloaded (I think) the bluetooth to my 64 bit hp. I also think I loaded the palm cd into computer. Now I know I need some sort of program to transfer data from geocaching.com to the palm. Can you lead me thru that or know someone who can? I pretty much only know how to work the e trex and my computer and nothing more. Thanks.
  10. (My first post doesn't show up, so hopefully this one will). I have a Palm pda (not phone) and Vista OS on my computer. I understand they are not compatible, but would be with use of a usb bluetooth adapter, which I have. I am totally clueless on setting these all up and using them for paperless caching. I am in Portland until June 21st, then on to Hoquim, WA. Would love to find either a professional or a helpful geocacher who could help me set all this up and instruct me on use. Thanks for any help.
  11. I had valuable replies to my question on paperless caching. Now I am thinking of using a cell phone (Verizon) to cache. I have Vista on the computer. Any suggestions, recommendations or warnings? Thanks.
  12. Thanks for all the valuable information about paperless caching. Now I'm thinking of a phone that will do the trick. I have Verizon and Vista on my computer. Suggestions or warnings about doing this?
  13. I have seen a person use a palm pilot or blackberry, and they had the whole cache page, including logs, on the little hand held device. What is the least expensive device to use to go paperless and how easy to download and use? Any suggestions or information about this would be appreciated. Thanks. Bug Seeker
  14. I am looking for caches on Lake Powell, Utah by houseboat out of Bullfrog Marina--perhaps in the following canyons--Moki (Moqui), North Gulch Moki, Hansen Creek, Crystal Spring, Forgotton and Smith Fork. Not even too sure what the coordinates are for the marina, but have a good idea. Let me know if there might be caches to find. Thanks. Bug Seeker
  15. Just bought first gps. Questions--will the instructional video be of big help? I am going to be travelling in British Columbia and Europe soon and wonder what map sources I'll need without spending huge amount of money! Thanks. Bug Seeker
