  1. Is it wrong that I found that quite fascinating??!
  2. Wow, I'm glad caterpillers aren't dangerous in the UK! That thing looks nasty!
  3. Well, I'm going have to go out wearing my best innocent expression this weekend... although it does make me think twice about taking my camera... which is a shame, because you can find some amazingly beautiful architecture around London, and I love trying to notice the things other might just walk past unnoticed...
  4. Ah, saw the link, clicked through and bought a couple- if you have any control over entry length- worth noting it wouldn't let me enter my email address as it was too long- had to use a backup one, which I prefer not to do with caching stuff, as it's less reliable! Clare
  5. Let us know how it is to use, milvus- I want to get a new one, since the one I have now is second hand and a little battered!!
  6. Too late. Feb 29th was the day to ask! G Gutted!!! I'll just have to wait!
  7. Oh wow, I've been missing out on an opportunity here. Find caches AND find a man in one place, this is brilliant!!! Anyone want a wife??!
  8. I love seeing the different stamps and stickers and other scribblings in my full sized log books (and discovered I knew a fellow cacher's daughter through one of them!!) I've just made my first set of calling cards, which I like getting in my caches too, so by such logic, assume some other cache owners do too! I had a really nice email today from a cache owner, congratulating me on my first FTF, and on my "nice log notes"- glad to know my longer postings are appreciated, because I get very excited about logging my finds, as I've never had one without some sort of enjoyable, random or notable hunt! In terms of logging, I will leave name, date, time and other thoughts and thanks where there is room, but obviously just a name and date on mirco and nano caches! < this is my general demeanor today after my morning's caching expedition!
  9. Welcome! I'm still- despite the date my profile gives- a bit of a noob too! Have fun!
  10. So, here's my wondering... One of the caches I have hidden is a magentic nano, in a busy city centre, near some beautiful old ruins. Being in such a busy place, it needed to be well hidden, but I didn't think it was too difficult, as I had found similar caches in similar locations in different parts of the country... but so far, there have been a few DNFs from quite experienced cachers, and I'm not sure what to do about it. I wanted it to be tricky, but not impossible, and I thought it was. I don't really want to move it as it needs to be somewhere it isn't likely to get dislodged by accident, and I quite like caches that are just a bit tricky! Any thoughts from anyone? Clare
  11. At last check (over the past few days) the two of mine in the Brentwood area are OK. Haven't had chance to check the Harlow one yet, as have been stuck working here in Brentwood! Looking forward to going home on Sunday, and will be checking on it soon after that, as I haven't stopped by for a while.
  12. I'd love to see a few more sidetracked caches, as I'm a train using cacher! I've been thinking about setting some at the local ones!
  13. I'd be up for it if someone doesn't mind me riding pillion... and it'll depend when it is!
  14. Think you've failed the test as a portrait photographer. LOL! And my test of how to get a working link in my signature!!
  15. Actually needing to do a little test of my own...
  16. When there are a few more in this series, I will definitly be planning a trip to Wales... two of the greatest things in the world in one place!
  17. Well, I'm a former Guide, and Scouter... I used to be ABSL and later ASL at a troop in Shipley, but moved away and haven't been able to reconnect yet *sigh*... I got in touch with the right people, who sent me off to a Beaver Colony when- due to the fact I now spend my life working with little kids- I actually want to be back with a Scout Troop! Clare
  18. Mine and My Mum's Seahorse TB- dropped off to start it's journey at Last Delivery on January 16th... five days later, the cache had disappeared, having been muggled! *sigh*
  19. You may be from Yorkshire and living in Essex but you can't be all bad if you stick CSP in your profile! Well? Good luck on your first hide BTW. Well, I used to live in CSP, on the site of Holy Cross Convent, but we had to move out recently as their selling our bulding! Sigh! But I did like it there!
  20. Just thought I'd pop in and say hello! I've been around for a while on the site, but since my partner in caching disappeared back to Hungary before I really got started, it's taken a trip out to Budapest to kick me into action! Anyway, I'm Clare, I'm 22, from Yorkshire but living in Essex and planning my first cache hide very soon! Hiii! Clare
