  1. Fort DeSoto is a nice place to visit, several caches there. Can't say enough about "Where the Green Fern Grows"!
  2. I couldn't find the cache. Maby the recent storms got it or I just missed it.
  3. If no one else beats me to it, I'll try to get by there this week.
  4. Some of these buyers may be outside the US where things are more expensive. I'm selling my Legend on Ebay right now and I've received several e-mails from overseas.
  5. Well, the refresh button does work, but it's frustrating. I haven't updated IE6 for a while and this just started.

    Page Expired

When viewing cache pages from a search I get this when I use the back button in my IE browser: Warning: Page has Expired The page you requested was created using information you submitted in a form. This page is no longer available. As a security precaution, Internet Explorer does not automatically resubmit your information for you. To resubmit your information and view this Web page, click the Refresh button. It's started doing this yesterday, any ideas on how to get it back to normal?
  7. OzGuff, thanks for the warning. We'll be up your way at the end of June for our yearly trip to Cashiers. We'll be ready for them ticks.
  8. What a shame, I hope it will come back. With so many different people, you would expect some negativity. Sometimes you need a thick skin.
  9. My daughter learned about Letterboxing at camp. We found a few of those then a Letterboxer mentioned a Letterbox/Geocache hybrid. There were 2 or 3 letterboxes in our area and 100s of caches. Now we can't stop until we've found them all.
  10. Near Cashiers my own "Silver Run Falls" would be a good one if there hasn't been a lot of rain. You have to walk across a couple of logs to get to the cache. White Side Mountain is nice, a longer hike but ok for the kids, nice views. I would not do Chimney Cap with the kids. Have a good time! Scanogram
  11. Lately I've been trading $2 Bills. They always get taken so I guess people like them. I have to ask for them at the bank, sometimes they don't have them.
  12. Grab it and keep it in your inventory for a while. One of my bugs went missing from a cache, after about two months I grabbed it and posted a note to its page that it was stolen. About three weeks later, someone found it in another cache, it is now back in circulation. If it doesn't show up in a few months you may want to use the copy tag to keep it going.
  13. I found a micro today that used a M&Ms Mini tube. About the size of a film can but twice as long.
  14. I've seen some that are MO for the first month then are open to everyone. I guess its someone's way of promoting the site. I joined after I found my 20th cache. I was having a great time and thought it would be good to support the sport. I have seen some comments from non-members who took it personally and decided to not search for any of the hider's other caches, but I think thats their loss.
  15. I have an after market PC cable for my etrex and it works fine. There are some good products out there.
  16. Trail Blaze is in Largo. I've been meaning to do this one, but it hasn't worked out yet.
  17. Could this be an obsessive-compulsive disorder? Maby its time for a National Event Cache so we can get together and discuss our problem.
  18. Digital cameras are dirt cheap now. I got one for $30 at walmart. I gave it to my daughter for geocaching.
  19. Just thought I'd post a note to push this one back to the top. With Christmas just over, there are a lot of new cachers out there. So, I hope they will join. Sorry I had to miss the Brandon meeting, I hope to make the next.
  20. I found a cache that a bear had ripped apart because someone had put gum in the cache. I only had some large ziplock bags with me, but a new container would have been nice.
