Hi, I just had the same problem, well my Palm Centro quit working, so I got the HTC ozone and after talking to a couple people here on the forums I got Cachemate for the smartphone and after trial an error got it working and now have paperless on it. There is also a way to use gsak with it but I can't get it to work for me. Good Luck HAPPY NEW YEAR I also have Verizon and I don't have the data package. Thanks for the response. I'm due for an upgrade on my phone. Which phone is the best to get to be able to use as a pda for paperless caching? My palm quit working and hope I can use a phone instead. I also have verizon wireless service.

I had the same problem with my etrex legend and came upon a fix by mistake. I pressed and held the on-off button and the zoom up button at the same time and held for about 30 seconds then I pressed and held the on-off button and the zoom down button at the same time and held for 30 seconds. I don't know which one worked, but now it is working again. Also, after arriving home a couple hours later, I went into webupdater and updated the software. I don't know if this was necessary, but figured it couldn't hurt. Now my GPS is working like it was new again. e-mail me at hjmorrison@alltel.net if you try this and it works. good luck hermjm
