  2. Take a side trip to Rochester and hit GC6FBE, oh and that great BBQ place has an outlet in Rochester and it sits above one of the entrances to the cache I mentioned. This is a FANTASTIC cache....just bring a camera and a good flashlight....... Binrat
  3. Buy in bulk yourself, as for me I get them free. http://www.govliquidation.com/list/c7549/lna/1.html Binrat

  5. Gananoque Ontario Easy access to Kingston, Ottawa, New York State and the 1000 Islands. Reasonable housing costs and the Casino is right around the corner. Gets a little busy in tourist season, but very bearable. You looking to retire somewhere here in Ontario Murfster? Binrat
  6. Barriefield Village, very historic. Close to Ottawa and an easy crossing to New York State and the cache rich Adirondacks.
  7. Ding, Ding, Ding! Irish Dancing Mom and Daughters win. Your up next. Binrat
  8. Someone is too lazy to replace signs hardly anyone will see. New Question..... A bit tough as it is a three parter. Where in Canada do the boundaries of four provinces/territories intersect, there is ONLY one place? What is this intersection known as? And what are the co-ords? Have fun, Binrat P.S. This "place" just screams "place a cache here!"

  11. Depends....would this be a Night Caching event? Binrat
  12. I would love to but I am hopeless with GSAK. I took me a week to get the Ontario Counties map to work. I am sure once the project starts to roll an Ontario based GSAK guru will jump in and create the map. Binrat
  13. Look for a good deal on a Garmin GPSMap 60Cx. A sweet starter unit and I would buy it again if it broke tomorrow. Binrat
  14. A quick look at the Eastern Ontario edition of the Backroads Mapbook shows 40 pages and I can take a guess there is a cache somewhere on every page, sweet. Binrat

    Server Cabinets

Ok, just read all the info on the Fisher Plaza fire from Jeremy and have a question. What do the Server Cabinets look like and what do the various componets do. I am not a tech but am curious of what it is and how it works, pictures would be cool. Binrat
  16. The only thing I can think of is the Backroad Map Book series. http://www.backroadmapbooks.com/main/index.html Just got to get someone to start it up. Binrat
  17. I too have had this happen on one of my caches. Thieves stole power tools and stuff from a house under construction and placed it close to my cache till the heat died down or to wait until they could get a truck. The owner was pleased and learned what Geocaching was all about. Binrat
  18. Lots of great caches in Kingston. Everything from quick and easy to great hikes along an old rail trail. You can also get great tips at http://www.kingstongeocaching.com/ Binrat
  19. I also know that npsh is picking them up in wholesale fashion between Peterborough and Brockville. Sasquatch hunting is what he calls it. Binrat
  20. BUMP! So far I have collected three caches and rescued 2 TB's. The warm weather is here so add a couple of these to your next road trip and collect them. http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...20-9fd0255fb282 I just looked at the map of where they are and am amazed how far reaching they were. I plan to pick up as many as I can on my way to the Moosenee Event in August if they are still out there. Oh, and please email Cache-tech after a pick up so he can adjust the above Bookmark List. Netbooks

How about using a Netbook for Caching Trips. ie flying to a destination and using the Netbook to download PQ's and the like. The programs I would load would be... - GSAK - Mapsource - Palm Desktop With this combo I could travel lighter through the airports. Will Netbooks work this way and could it run Garmin NRoute with a GPS device connected to route you to cache from inside the car? Binrat
  22. Ding, and the Pig wins by a nose. The site is also known as the Kicking Horse Pass with an elevation of 1643 m Binrat
  23. Ok, since we are on the Trans Canada Highway... Where is the Highest Point on the TCH. Binrat
