I purchased the universal charger for my smart phone and it worked good. Well it was certainly better then letting the battery die in my phone. I'd recommend it for sure. It was a little expensive at $50 but since there is no other alternative, I guess it was worth it.

I work in a Canadian retailer and we have a universal solar charger that will fit iPhone/iPod and usb (i have a Samsung galaxy). I will be picking up soon for $50 trip user for my phone the next time I go out. I will give you an update on it's performance!
