I am using the Ram mount for my 60CX on a Road King. The unit is not going to fall out, I used it on a 2500 mile trip this summer and using it locally around the area for about 1000 miles and never had an issue with it falling off.

I guess I will download the maps and see if it will give turn by turn directions. Thanks. From what i have read on here, the NT versions are only for autorouting units, so they do not give you the choice--it sends the routing data. Ahh...cool, thanks for the feedback. It seems to autoroute so I guess it imports maps with the autorouting feature automatically. Thank you.

Just updated to City Navigator NT V8 and when I try to import the maps, I can not check the box where it says "Include Route Calculation Data" it is greyed out. I have a 60cx and need some help on what am I doing wrong. Does the NT V8 includes the route calculation automatically maybe? Please help.. Thanks.

You can not use Ultra 2 cards, only regular

Thats my thoughts exactly, thats why ordered the non NT version based on the description stating that NT is only for the models specified above. Why didn't they say it is for the x models as well. Odd, I ordered the non NT version and it did not come in yet. Maybe I'll have to call Garmin and see what they say about this. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a problem with no streets come up in the CS V7, even in the highest detail settings. I remember I use to see it. I can not even get the green park colors,etc around the parks on the highest detail. Anyone had this before? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Cool just ordered my free update City Nav V8 for free. Nice of them to move the date as far as April. I bought mine in May.

I returned my 60cx due to some issues that I had, however the new unit that I received seems like it does not lock or show all the satellites that I use to have. I remember seeing all the bars were showing on the one I use to have. The new unit has all except like 3 bars that do not show most of the time and have dashes where the number should be. At times the bar will go up and then turn off again. The two on the right rarely go on at all. I have current version of sw and fw. I took the gps in the car one day to see if I can get the lock on the few and no luck. Is it just me or some of you have the same issue?

Looks like a good time to upgrade to a dvd player. They are pretty cheap, you can get a dvd player/burner for like 40 bucks now. Good luck

Does anyone know how to unlock the maps for my GPS 60cx got from Garmin under a repair. They sent me replacement unit, but i want to unlock my City Select with this new 60cx. Is there anyhing I can do to make it work somehow without calling, because they do not work on Sat. and Sun. Any help would be appreciated

What is the fastest way of creating a route out of a track so I can use to auto route me the same way.

Odd when I am in the setup and then I press menu I get a box which says no options. You sure this where the sw version is?

How do you get to the screen where it give you the detail for the software and firmware that is loaded on your gps. I did it once and now I do not recall how to do that.

That is exactly how it works. That way the unit is responsible for building the route, and more importantly, for rerouting if you get our course. Mapsource City Select and my 60cs are usually pretty close. Something for the OP to consider: did you make sure the check box "Include route calculation data" on the maps tab in MapSource was checked? It is easy to overlook, and if it is not check it will route on the basemap. I think it is checked by default, but I will look into that and make sure the tracking is set to best as well. I am using City Select with 60cx and the maps are downloaded to my gps

I even create via points on the map source and it still routes differently but passes those via points in a different way that the gps calculates. I wish it had the option to use mapsource route instead of selecting the navigation option to start calculating the route.. It is frustrating.

When I create a route on Mapsource and it navigates automatically I save it and when I upload it to my GPS and I want the gps to navigate that route for me, it gives me a total different way of taking me there. What is the point of having Mapsource route you and my GPS does a totally different route. Note, I have the same driving options checked. like avoid highways etc. What gives?
