Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. -

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes. -

more of our state slogan than a one liner but it still makes me smile "Come to Wisconsin and smell our Dairy-air" -

I served in the Regular Army (US) from 1985-1988 when I was medically discharged. Could have gone home sooner but I wanted to make it to three years service and I did. Discharged due to Hodgkins Lymphoma and am happy to say it went into remission and has not relapsed. I would also like to thank all who served whether in battle or not as it is not always that you have gone to war but the fact that you were willing to go if you were called to do so. Thanks for the cointest! It was an honor to serve.

any of the Todie's Wild Ride giveaways/cointest are always a favorite as they have a mission attached. Awareness is always a good thing to promote in whatever way you can.

Ten years ago, we were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to get a purebred Golden Retriever at no cost to us other than the usual shots and stuff. The kids were excited as was I and my wife. We looked to give him a name that was simple enough for my 2 year old daughter (at the time) to speak without difficulty. Luke was the name we chose, and since he was a purebred, we had to give him an official "special doggie name" for the papers and settled on "Luke's Golden Challenge", a name he quickly lived up to. For about the first two weeks, while he settled in, he was kenneled at night so we didn't wake up in the morning only to dodge bombs and puddles. The only problem was that he really missed his mommy and brother so he wimpered and cried unceasingly unless I was there with him until he dropped off to sleep. Well, this continued for at least the first weeks. When he went in the kennel, he would wimper and I would grab a pillow and blanket and lie down next to his kennel and talk to him until he slept. Well, that was ten years ago and Luke is now gone. Kidney failure caused a rapid decline in his health and we had no option left but to have him put down. He was a happy and healthy dog all those years. Luke's first picture Luke at about 6 years old

E&C plus 3 had a cointest aways back about the ISAF/CA where the first to post the correct answer to one of several questions won a coin. The research was a challenge and I was lucky enough to get one right! other cointests where there was an element of creativity (poetry, photography, etc.) were a joy to watch. There are some very generous and creative folks out there putting these cointests together. I think the entire group would agree that we appreciate you all!

As I do not own a Tsun Earth Turtle coin nor having ever come across one in the wild or in another's collection, I would be extreamly happy to get any one of them. For that matter, any of the coins shown would be a nice addition to my (IMHO) meager collection. (my wife, on the other hand, thinks I have too many).

Yeah, but this one is bronze...
