I am buying my first GPS and am debating between the Garmin GPSMap 60CSx and Magellan explorist 500. I want the Garmin, but I am quite worried by the problems I have been reading about. I like the technology and potential that exists with the Garmin, but it is more money and the complaints seem to be rampant. I am uncertain as to what to do. Any suggestions or advice would be helpful. Also, what is the best mapping software for the GPS's. Thank you.
