  1. hehehe...I sent a reservation, but the first one I forgot to put the amount of coins I wanted...then went and put it in so I have two orders in there...lol....but I only want one coin...lol
  2. Oh yeah...go tell the captain that we'll just take a few of these cans, and while your'e at it, tell him he can keep the shells, they dont make good trade items.
  3. ya know...i went to see if he signed one of the caches i have done close by and the darn thing has gone missing (but AFTER his visit)...grrr...so im going to see if the other one up the hill from me has his john hancock on it...that would be a bummer if it turns out to be a fib. im so sorry to hear about the coins too.
  4. That was such a cute little "film" of the baby discovering TGF coin! Gotta love it!
  5. I like the idea of making your own stuff...I try to leave something...the last one I had a MustangJoni pin, still in a wrapper, and a "cent" pin. I have some wooden nickels that I got off of Ebay that are FTF nickels. You write the info in the little spaces. I really like the painted rock idea. I have seen them in the stores and they sell for a couple dollars. You can get them at the beach or a river bank, and decorate them any way you want.
  6. I went to find a hide and found out that it led to a front yard. I actually went to the front door and knocked...what else was I gonna do...I still dont feel comfortable about poking around in other peoples yards...but the guy was cool and said that its in the flower pot out front. Yeah...interesting hide, and a real good way to keep an eye on your stuff...lol
  7. I got my first Tank Hound coin today! Yippy!
  8. Whoot Whoot! Got my first one today!!! Its soooooo cute!!! Thank you!
  9. I would like to order the mix lot coins (with the Monarch, the two suncatchers, NAVSTAR...ect...) listed first on the order page when they are available. These coins are so cool!
  10. You kinda rock too! Thank you for doing so much for us cachers. I saw that it was published. I dont mean to seem impatient about things. Sometimes I do think that we forget that you all have lives like we do. LOL. THANK GOODNESS for school starting...lol...
  11. Ah...Its a fairly simple little one with the nearest other cache being WAY on the other side. I hope it makes it in...
  12. Does it usually take this long to approve Seattle/Bellevue area caches? I put mine in on Sunday and usually when I post a cache to be listed, it takes like one to two days at the most to be approved. So Im sitting here WAITING...and the cache is sitting AND waiting...grrr...help?
  13. I dont know...I like finding them but I usually just go to hunt for the cache itself. If theres a coin, I sometimes log it, take it, replace it with another of the like...I guess it is personal preferance when it comes down to making a copy to save the original. I just read the other post in the forum about the copies being made and its a mix feeling on the topic. I guess because Im still kind of a newbie at this, the idea of one of my coins getting taken and never seen again ever kinda weirds me out. Hence the asking of opinions here. BUT, the other post fairly cleared some of the questioning up. I like the idea of making a copy, but understand the logic of why put it out just to disappoint the person there to find the real thing...grr...Its something for me to ponder. Drilling a hole in it and adding a buddy to it sounds like it would work alot better then just having the coin itself...having more then one helps also.
  14. Nothing in the mail today, but on Thursday I did get my Black and White GEO coins...yippy!
  15. I sent a PM to ya...I want to get 2 of these coins....they are soooo cute!
  16. I was reading one of the logs and actually saw someone that had a "copy" of their geocoin in the cache but not the original. I have also heard of people doing this too. How do cachers feel about this and is it OK to do it, say, take a picture of the coin you own, laminate it, and put it out like its the coin itself into a cache? I kinda want to do it but I dont know how others would take it, if its not "proper" caching practice, or if its as acceptable as having the real thing. I think its a good idea, but I was wanting some feedback on the idea.
  17. I just started caching myself and other then the few unfounded caches that I have gotten, there has not been a thing that weirded me out yet. I take my kids with me and we discover all sorts of different parks that we never knew were there, and today we took a hike, hung out by a creek and had fun. There are GPS unit out there that are even less then $100...so I totally agree that you should like make a day-thing with your dad and go show him its not what he thinks it is.
