To freespirit 1402, no i have been waiting till i get my GPSr , but last night i downloaded the goggle earth add on and guess what , there,s loads round here, so if my GPSr is not here by the weekend i may just set off with compass and map .   5. strange , i was baby sitting, and reading my mates outdoor mag and there was an article about it and i thought it gives me another excuse to go walking / camping (like i need one).

  8. thanks to every one for advice on what to buy , i think we have a decision , i now need to be taken under someones wing to learn the ropes , i live in mirfield, just off the m 62 ,so ,do we have a local volunteer to adopt me , i have transport ,boots and a flask love n peace andi
  9. hi , im looking to get into geocaching and was looking to spend about £100 on a unit then someone mentioned a pda , now im even more confused , for a little more i can get a pda (new) which gives me so much more . has any one else been down that route ? what else would i need to go caching ie software . ps does any one in the leeds /bradford/ wakefield fancy taking me under there wing for a couple of outings . love n peace andi
  10. I noticed your name come up on a few caches that are on my list and Beautiful Dorset 7 is the top of the list, along with loads more by yourselves. Hopefully when I get back you'll see Found by BareClawz come up on a few :-) I've stayed there before and it is a lovely camp site. So hope to see you there Gary. Thats us on a quiet camp site in N Devon last year trying to be discrete. Patch standing guard (greeting everyone that passes really)
