Hearing these stories makes me cry! I've known since I was a kid that the only thing I've ever wanted in this world was to be a mom. We tried for YEARS before I was blessed enough to get pregnant with Thomas. Because it took so long for it to happen, we'd about given up and were totally surprised by the positive pregnancy test. I was so scared throughout my entire pregnancy that something would happen and I would lose this precious gift I'd been given. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I started getting low amniotic fluid levels. The doctors were a little concerned and made me get ultrasounds every 3 days. Three weeks before my due date, the doctor finally said they didn't want to wait any longer. The baby's oxygen supply was in jeopardy. I was induced and finally got to bring my special baby into the world. What am I thankful for? This:

Ours is more of a controlled mess... But it was my son Thomas' first Christmas! Mom's first chance to torture! He really enjoyed the bows! Drooling with anticipation! That's nice, Mom,but what is it? Geocaching has given me back my life. Both my husband and I are not in the best shape and when we started caching, we knew the exercise we would get would be very good for us! We (officially) started caching on Christmas last year. At the begining of February I found out I was pregnant. All through my pregnancy I did my best to get out and still go do this fun hobby. The day I went into labor the doctor made me get on the evil scale. I weighed the same the day I had my son as I did when I got pregnant. It was all baby weight- my son was born perfectly normal and healthy. If I had done that when I wasn't pregnant, I probably could have lost about 30 pounds. (in just 9 months!!) Move over "Biggest Loser"!! Thanks for the contest!!

WOW...CONGRATS LeslieDodson9!! I wish you'd have taken a closer pic though...but at least we have a hint as to the shape!! I took about 30 pictures, but those were the only ones that really turned out and weren't blurry. It is a VERY cute coin!! It looks like is has some foreign language written on it (and the card that came with it). Now if only I could identify which language and translate it...

I can't decide which recipe I like best, so I'll post both!! Candy's Inhalers 2 pounds white chocolate coating 1 cup peanut butter 3 cups Rice Krispies 2 cups dry roasted peanuts 2 cups mini marshmallows In a saucepan, melt the white chocolate coating. Stir in the peanut butter. Combine the Rice Krispies, peanuts and mini marshmallows in a bowl. Pour the white chocolate/peanut butter mixture over the cereal mixture. Mix until well coated. Drop spoonfuls into cupcake papers. Let set up. (Can chill if wanted, but I don't care for it cold) Peppermint Cookies 1 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies 1/3 cup sugar 3/4 cup butter 2 eggs 1 tsp peppermint extract 3/4 tsp vanilla extract 2 1/3 cup flour 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup sugar In a mixer, cream the butter. Add the eggs until beaten. Mix in both extracts. Add flour, salt and the 1 cup of sugar. Mix until the dough forms a ball. In a seperate bowl, combine the crushed candies with the 1/3 cup of sugar. (This creates the topping for the cookies) Seperate the dough into small balls. Roll the balls in the candy topping. Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. After pulling the cookies from the oven (while still warm) roll into the candy topping again. Let cool on wax paper. ENJOY!!!! Merry Christmas!!

So, I've had a very rough month filled with stress and bad news! When I got up today, there was a small package in the mail from me to me... Guess what was inside??
