  1. I will be in Baltimore from the evening of the 24th thru the evening of the 27th and would like some quick finds in the area of my hotel. I will be staying at the Embassy suites at the Airport and in meetings during the day but may have some time in the evening to sneak out. Any assistance will be appreciated
  2. I thank you all for your support and hope that the folks at Groundspeak are monitoring this thread. Thank you all for your assistance on logging subversively. As far as friends getting together and joining as a "Family" Well you have those people in the game that ause caches and GeoJack them too. There are those that will try to beat the system and the overwhelming majority of us that appreciate the service and are glad to contribute.
  3. I wrote to Groundspeak regarding premium memberships for families and they suggested that I brng this topic to the forums. I find it to be a little ridiculous for a family of four, or five etc to have to purchase multiple Premium memberships in order for each person to access "Members only Caches". I have a son who is eight years old and has his OWN geocaching identity. We have done a couple of hundred caches together of which maybe 50% he has not been able to get credited for as they are "Members Only". I would like to propose that Groundspeak offer a Family Premium Membership plan for an amount slightly greater than the Premium membership fee and allow say 4 Family members to access it. Any additional family members after that would be assessed an additional cost possibly even equal to the amount of an additional premium membership. I am just floating this out here on the forums as a number of cachers in the Las Vegas area have thought that it would be a good idea and would gladly pay say $50 for a family premium plan. I will leave it to the folks at Groundspeak to make the right decision. But remember that the kids as well as the adults enjoy seeing their find count grow. BroncoCacher
  4. I STILL THINK THAT OUR HERO,ROADRUNNER, FOR THE STATE OF NEVADA IS A HIGHLY DESERVING REVIEWER AND WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE HIM. HE WOULD TRULY TREASURE A HIKING STICK!!!!!!!!!!
  5. i WOULD HAVE TO SAY THAT rOADrUNNER IN nEVADA IS A TIRELESS SUPPORTER AND NOT ONLY DOES HE REVIEW THEM BUT ATTENDS THE EVENTS, CACHE OUTINGS, CITO EVENTS AND SUPPORTS CACHERS WITH THEIR GOALS AND IS AN ALL AROUND CAACHING MENTOR. i VOTE THAT HE GETS THE NEW HIKING STAFF!!!
  6. The point of caching is to enjoy it with other people. Share the experience, and if you happen to be a family it is a great family activity. I cache with my son and he is 7. If there wee a Childs PM Say for 12 and under , at a reduced rate of say $12/year. It is frustrating when they cache with you and you cannot log their caches. I am not even going to reduce myself to the shortcuts mentioned earlier. This is a great activity and people that look to circumvent the system are the ones that ruin it for everyone. Let's just be realistic and develop a child's membership, or a Family membership with say 4 PM's available for say $75. This does not seem like a difficult issue so let's stop talking about it and JFDI!!!
  7. i was entering my sons finds tonight and was sad to see that he could not log finds in member only caches. I am a premium member , but he is 7 and don't think he will enjoy all the benefits. Is there a way that kids... maybe a reduced member rate or the ability to join as a family... could enjoy the benefits of logging Member only caches? Anyone have an idea? Thanks- BroncoCacher
