  2. So I'll be waiting for an update! but for now I will update my pocket query's to exclude "my founds" to make sure I donot run for a cache I have already did. PS: On my GC I did not have this issue :-)
  3. I have the receipt so you get one year of waranty starting end of september 2012 :-) (so it's 85$ + Shipping)
  4. What condition is it in, has it been used? good condition, works perfectly, had it for one month to try geocaching... I've Found 50 caches with it! and I loved so much my Magellan experience that I bought another one! (The Explorist 610 with turn by turn navigation :-)
  5. I have the same problem with my Explorist 610, I tried to sync a pocket query with my found, it didn't work. I tried the Auto Pocket query from Geocaching.com and it didn't work either. It seems that when I sync my caches they lost their Found status... anyone have a solution? thanks
  6. At first I buy a Explorist GC for Geocaching and I liked it very much, but I Wanted to have better maps and precision so I also buy a Explorist 610. Even if the 610 have an electronic compas it spin a little bit once a while and because it's a more sensitive device it I have to calibrate it very often because it become less precise. The maps are better but the street are strange sometimes, i'd say that I prefer my GC because its strait to the point! and precise but I like the 610 because its larger so I can read the screens more easily (Im getting old!!!)and the touch screen make navigation a little bit of a better experience...If you start with geocaching I'd say that this is a perfect device for that that works perfectly!(If you have good eye, because the screen is small)
  7. Hi All, I just buy a used gps... a wonderfull Explorist 610! It is exactly one year old (+ 2days). it was first bought on October 24 2011, and now on october 26 2012 the coordinate I get are like 25 ft off my real position and i'm sometime on the other side of the street, or inside a building, even 100 ft away! how can I do geocaching with that? i love this device with the resistive touch screen which is perfect for using with my long nails and its very responsive that way, but because it's not precise it's useless. I am very disappointed because I really LOVE this device compare to the other brand. Maybe there is a setting I should do? maybe I just buy a defective unit? i feel so stupid! PLEASE HELP!!!
  8. Im selling my wonderful Explorist gc for only 100$, I am in Montreal :-) eXplorist GC North America I have the original box, the one month subscription to geocaching.com an a nice case.
  9. OMG I just received My new eXploristGC and it is SOOO SMALL! I will not be able to use this tiny little toy without my glasses!! tHE SCREEN AND THE FONT SIZE IS SO SMALL AND THERE IS NO MUCH CONTRAST IN THE INTERFACE OULALA!
  10. David, That is exactly what I was going to do, to get the x310, but because I only want to do Geocaching (I am not interested in Fishing or hunting) I wanted to make sure I have the best Geocaching experience... after comparing the specs on Magellan websites I found that the xGC seems to have more geocaching options but the maps look all the same, if the geocaching options where the same but the 310 had better maps, i'll go for it, but it is very difficult to make a choice on the website... so I just buy the GC.
  11. Oh... and another question a bout those explorist device: can you use them in winter a -25 degree?
  12. What!! you converted your gc into a 310? is it working well???
  13. dam, I cancel the 110 and change for the GC, I want to make sure I have all the otions that facilitate good geocaching experience... I hope the maps are not too bad... tks for your comments :-)
  14. I agree, but I think that this one will do the job until I buy a real one... like the Explorist 710! (If I'm really really hooked on Geocaching) and I will give this one to my daughter :-)
  15. at only 119.99$ I just buy the 110 :-) I think this is the best buy, and it's the most recent model! ill find much more cache this year...
  16. do you know wich maps are better? the Worldwide Map or the World Edition?? Also I guess in the Explorist series, they all have the same qualityy of gps? I Think the 310 has a better one, its an electronic compas that the other dont have? Are they using the same UI software?
  17. Hi, are you still in montreal? i'm looking for friends to go out hunting geocache with me...
  18. Should I buy the eXplorist GC, 110 or 310? Both seems good units but the 110 is cheaper with more function... I dont understand why? Wich one works better? there is also the 310 wich is only a few dollars more... maybe it's a better unit with a better lock on my position? Help please!!!!!! I just want to do basic geocaching. Thanks. http://www.gpscentral.ca/products/magellan/exploristseriescomparison.html
