  1. We've not bothered that much with owning trackables (only 2 TB's to date) but the "cause" seemed so very worth while and there was a Blackpool Tower coin up for grabs that'll remind us of dancing there this October . Well done for helping your friend with cancer and thanks for our coin.
  2. Thanks for your help too parkenator. The coin will be in the post to spannerman on Friday.
  3. Thanks spannerman for your quick response. Email replied to .
  4. I have a TB that's mission is to get to Dartmoor National Park for it's owner to find this Christmas (2007) As Christmas is only 6 weeks away and I'm having trouble just managing to get across the Severn Bridge for a caching trip can anyone living close to Dartmoor help out. I will send it by post if anyone cares to reply here or PM me.
  5. Our calender has just dropped through the door. Thanks Mandy you've done a wonderful job and it's lovely to have Booboo our dog included on the October page. Roll on January 1st when we can start using it.
  6. Can we see the photo's that were taken too
  7. OOOOH!!! I like this minimalist thing. A Puzzle Cache that I was able to work out in just a couple of minutes. Wish I lived closer and I'd just pop out to find it.
  8. Yes. I was bitten by a spider when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I was rescuing this large spider with my bare hands from a cardboard box I was about to play with when the thing bit me for my trouble. Since then I've always used the glass and cardboard method, ladder in the bath or soft towel. Of course this doesn't help when poking around in holes whilst geocaching but then thankfully our spiders aren't poisonous.
  9. There's a couple of night caches needing to be found near us so we're looking forward to the dark nights just to complete them. We've also saved urban caches for those days when its not fun to be sloshing around in the fog and mud.
  10. Then when you've written your logs in Cachmate you can then export them to Memo Pad where they end up on the PC at the next Hot Sync. Great stuff
  11. Well done SidAndBob on passing the big 500 Only trouble is you're only 2 caches behind us now
  12. I, Mrs F.B. use a Garmin gps60CSX and Mr F.B. uses a Magellan. I have never had any problems with my Garmin yet Mr F.B. because he is constantly fiddling with his settings often gets things wrong and many a time after we have hand plotted in the co-ords during a multi and set off in totally different directions only for me to end up waiting for him to come to his senses while I've found the cache.
  13. And here's another in Polperro Cornwall http://www.polperro.org/jammed.html This road also has signs at the top saying "Unsuitable for wide vehicles"
  14. It looks like time has run out for us. There's just too much "on" this weekend before we go on holiday so sadly we won't be there. Have a great time everyone
  15. DNF's are often the most adventurous and are definitely the most fun to write about and read. This one is my favourite DNF
  16. Just have to ask, why a small mirror???
  17. Is this why I got no PQ's at all today. I have 4 all set to arrive on a Thursday ready for the weekend and nothing happened Used to use mobipocket with ebooks until I discovered GSAK and Cachmate so they won't be missed. But the PQ's not arriving are a pain.

  19. We were on a trip to Flatholm Island today with 17 other geocachers. At the begining of the trip it was made known that a certain person had a red jeep in her possession. It was dangled in front of our faces until finally we cracked and had to prise it from her grip to gain access. Big Red Jeep Icon is now ours.
  20. The file wouldn't load from GSAK into Cachmate. Cachmate showed on the Sony Clie Palm but the file just wouldn't transfer during the "HotSync". I have actually managed to transfer a smaller amount of info instead of the 1600 cache info that I was trying to transfer. Thanks for the help anyway. And thanks to SidAndBob for the PM. Sounds as though it could be a memory problem - not enough for the size of file you are trying to transfer. I think you could be right now that I tried loading just a few files and they were ok.

  22. I've been using GSAK and exporting to cachmate for quite some time but after deciding to refresh my Cachemate list on the Palm (an ancient Sony Clie) I've encountered a problem. I deleted all records in Cachmate on the Palm, exported a PDB file from GSAK, but after a "HotSync" the file wouldn't load. I've tried removing Cachmate from the Palm, doing a "soft reset" then re-installing. (The HotSync doesn't have a problem with re-installing). But still the PDB file won't load. Does anyone have any ideas of what to try next. Help! Going caching tomorrow and with broken printer I can't even take paper.
  23. About a week I'd say. Also Trigpointing UK is down too and I have trig's waiting to log.
  24. We're all paid up now by Paypal and looking forward to the calender when they're ready
