  1. Thanks for the quick replies!! I just recently got the Czech, Poland and Hungary so I thought there might have been a glitch or something for Romania.
  2. Quick question that has probably been asked before, are there souvenirs for every country? I just got my first cache in Romania but didn't get a souvenir for it.... Thanks for the help!
  3. We use the Old Time Wooden Nickel company out of Texas. Their site is very easy to use. They do ship to Canada and are very friendly. We order 100 at a time, which comes to about $60, depending on what we get on them.
  4. Wow! That was a long, interesting read… For the first three pages it reminded me of the "American syndrome". Let me explain. The worlds view of America is poor. No one likes America and it's not really a big secret (however, my opinion is quite different. I'm from Canada and when I visit the USA I find the folks MUCH nicer than my Canadian counterparts). What is the reason for this poor attitude towards American's? Because, American's think they're the best, smartest, best looking, most talented people in the world…which in turn breeds hate and terrorism. By reading your initial posts, it also seems that you think you're the best, most hard working cachers in your area. OF COURSE that is going to breed hate amongst other cachers. And, like America, you refuse to change at all. Are you wrong to celebrate your greatness and work ethic? In theory, no..but it OBVIOUSLY has a negative effect on others whether you want to believe it or not. Now that was my opinion for the first three pages. After 6 years, and saying that the offender HAS POSTED IN THIS THREAD, why not out him? Why are you keeping this person's identity a secret? You are still trying to spare their feelings? When have they spared yours? This person is causing you untold grief. Stop being bullied and stand up for yourself! (This post shouldn't be misconstrued as a plight against American's. Like I said, I think American's are FAR friendlier than the country I was born and live in. Your love for your troops is AMAZING. I wish we had the same support here)
  5. I'm from Canada, and this is my first year during the winter, but so far so good! I'd have to say -30C would be my cutoff though. Really looking forward to just walking to the island caches soon! No bugs! Nothing wrong with that!
  6. Here is a link to a topic about the subject Mail TB. It is best to ask the owner of the the coin. Thank you both for the great insight! I figured the original owner would like the coin to travel as far as possible but your answers make much more sense! I appreciate the genuine help (it takes a lot of "stress" off me now to thinking I had to keep these coins moving far distances)!
  7. I'll apologize in advance for my newbie'ish question: I have a coin I just picked up in a cache. It's been from England, through America and now crossing Canada. It originated in 2007. I'd love to mail this coin to a fellow cacher so he/she could drop it in their location (hopefully more than 1000km away). Is this a normal practice? Would anyone be interested? I'm not asking anything in return. Only that you can ensure you''ll place it in a cache near you. I, of course, will incur all costs it takes to get it to you. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
  8. My family and I are new to caching too. I had no idea "letterboxing" was a thing. I'm grateful for this thread! I think I found another new hobby. I love the stamp idea! Much better than a cheap plastic toy. Like my wife described it last night, it's like geocaching for adults. With all this bickering back and forth I'm reminded what I great man once said; "Look to the cookie, Elaine" Let's all just get along and have fun!
