Well, I am very new to geocaching, but since you are going out tomorrow I will respond now just so you have something to go on. Feel free to disregard if a more experienced cacher gives better advice. On the detail page for a cache, if you scroll down to just above the logs there is a second map and a link that says "view on larger map" -- or something to that effect. If you click that link, it opens an interactive map page up with the nearby caches marked. At least, it does for me LOL Good luck tomorrow! (editted for spelling error)

I'm 49 and my son is 16. We both just started.

While I like this idea, I have to ask.... would this open the potential for abuse by people to "back date" some finds to fill in gaps in their Find Calendar? Truthfully, I've only been geocaching for a month or so and am not that "in" on many (or really any) of the known issues, so take my question as more of a request for my own knowledge than anything else.

Hello Folks, Im very new to geocaching -- joined last month. So far I've found several threads to be excellent sources of information, especially the one about the Magellan eXplorist GC! A few threads degenerated into off topic rants but that's to be expected no matter what Forum you're talking about. By and large, the members who post seem well behaved, well meaning, and willing to help. Im looking forward to a long geocaching "career." Tim
