  1. What a jerk @ff!!!! I haven't been around long enough to know if this happens a lot in the area? Is there any pattern on where he strikes? Have you thought about posting in the main forums to see if any one else has had the same thing happen to them? I will keep a eye out for the jerk's antics now!! Sorry about your TB Tracy
  2. We- well.. I shouldn't say we- I'm the passenger he is the driver, have a Ducati 748 S (hence the Ducati ball as the avatar) for street rides. However do very little caching since we are usually two up, and no place to put the GPSR. If we do Cache we only do one or two on a ride. We wear full leathers- so it is hard to be stealth -like when caching. We do have dirt bikes that we plan on doing caches at OHV parks this winter. No bike rallies for us.
  3. Howdy CVC! Have to admit I'm a lurker on the regional forum, and yes tag is on my watchlist. (wow you are all so quick to grab him!) Any way- I have a Green Jeep I am going to release Wednesday late afternoon in the area of Milgeo and Murphy I'd like to see the locals have fun with it before someone snaps it up and keeps it on their bookcase! So if you are too imaptient to wait till the CVC event in a few weeks to possibly get a Green Jeep........ Happy Hunting, Tracy
  4. At last!! Ours was in the mail Saturday!!! There is hope after all. Now..... Which cache to put it in???
  5. Thanks for the feed back! I wanted to make sure I wasn't out of line before I sent an e-mail asking them to log the tb. Tracy
  6. Am I being impatient or over protective of my one and only travel bug? My tb was dropped in a cache and taken by a cacher Aug 2nd that has still yet to log it as grabbed it/ discovered it. The only way I know he has my my tb is because he stated it in his log when finding the cache. Log as written, "Took the Aries TB because person xxx is heading out of town and he will help it on it's way. Left some animals." So.... My question is should I email the cacher (or his friend) who claimed to take my tb and give him a gentle reminder and/ or directions on how to log that he has found it, and has in his posession. BTW he has been on line and logged 7 other finds since taking my TB. So he has been online to log since finding the tb. I am a noobie so be easy Thanks, Tracy
  7. Your not the only one who hasn't got one yet. We haven't either??? It's like getting picked last for dodge ball Anyone else out there who hasn't got their green jeep yet?
  8. We are close to the Mother Lode- In Oakdale. I'm a Public Library Branch Manager (real name is Tracy), he (SicJay or Jay) is a RN at a dialysis unit. We are mostly new to the game- but throughly enjoying it. My other half isn't big on urban caching, and prefers a more scenic route. Can anyone recommend any in the Mother Lode area that are really scenic with great views- or just plain fun to do. I would like to know some of your favorites. p.s. a 5/5 doesn't scare us away - we like a challenge! TraseeAnn

  10. I guess I could just use dog urine. LOL!!! l They do sell Deer and Elk Urine for hunting!!! That would be pretty disgusting! Thanks for the laugh TraseeAnn
  11. We got a battery operated black light from Pet's Mart, it's labeled as a stink finder, to use to find cat/dog urine. It cost about 15 dollars. The box recommends using it in low to no light. We used it during the day light, not full sunshine, but some light. It took a bit more work to find, but it is possible. It just takes a little more effort than if there was no light at all. It shows up glaringly obvious with no light. As for U.V. paint- I have no idea where to get that. Good luck- it is a great idea, and really fun to do! I know it sounds like a lot of trouble to go through, but it is well worth it! TraseeAnn
  12. I haven't tried it yet, but Illuminati looks really cool. I have done one in Illuninati series that was way cool. Used U.V. paint to "hide" the final coordinates, and you needed a black light to find them with. We had to bring our own "special tool" to find them with, but it was well worth it! I like caching at night- not always enough time during the busy day to get to all the caches you want to. TraseeAnn
  13. I am woman hear me Roar, see me cache!!! I also found it difficult to get my husband into it. I finally broke down and bought him his own GPSR! Wow what a difference that made- we no longer had to share, and he could hunt on his own. I also upped the difficulty level of the caches we were seeking. He was really bored with the cache and dash! We did a 5 star difficulty and terrain that challenged him to actually use his brilliant mind. We are also working on doing pocket queries, trying to go paperless with a Palm- he's a techie, so that helped also. The more gadgets he has to use, the more he's getting into it. These are the things that have worked for me. Good luck.
  14. Mine is just a different spelling of my name. My family calls me by my first and middle name all ran together into one name.
  15. Now that everything has been hashed out- check out a really cool letterbox hybrid: Illuminati:Earth (GCNBDD) The boy was getting tired of the typical cache and dash so we tried this one
