Make your own self inking stamp
PopUpPirate replied to drdick&vick's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Viz Top Tip : If you want to make your own self-inking stamp, simply carve your own design into half a potato, and carry it round in a bucket of ink. -
SUPERB series by the way - absolutely oustanding!!!

Thanks for the update John!

Best Rechargeable Batteries ?
PopUpPirate replied to Famous.Five's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
I always think of it as being like a jug of Tropicana. A 2800ml will last twice as long as a 1400ml bottle, cos it has twice as much "juice" in it -
FWIW, I think that emailing PP direct would have definitely been the right course of action. An SBA log shouldn't be taken as a personal sleight! Of course, if a cache can't be maintained in the required timeframe then it'll get archived. If, however, the cache gets replaced at a later date, a quick mail to a reviewer will soon have it unarchived for you.

Huge congratulations Steve, and fitting that Alan started the thread. An inspiration to get up off your backside and get out into the real world rather than lounge in front of the telly

Historical caches (in addition to earth caches). Puzzle caches (solve-at-home) Mystery caches (a surprise on the trail!) Trigs as benchmarks (both or neither! preferably both!)

Thanks Lucilla, I was always puzzled by that one First forums I've been on where people ask for topics to be closed. Thanks Dave, too.

Technicality clarified with current release, please direct queries to www.nwcaching.co.uk/forum thanks
-
Eek - sorry, I had intended this to be a UK-specific release, what with Trigpoints being central to its operation. I haven't got time to look after this release globally, so could you please close this thread for me? Thanks Alternatively, if you could move it back to the UK forums, a market which I can support, that'd be gradely, thanks!
-
Eek! I understand Mandarin has been asked to move this thread, rather than making the decision herself. I'd intended it solely for the UK market, and it's released specifically because it has Trigpoint stuff included. I hadn't intended it to be treated as a global release, and I haven't got time to support it on that scale. Rather than appear rude by not being able to support it, I'll request that the thread over there is closed. I'm also paying for the bandwidth myself but granted its negligible.

For GSAK and a Windows Mobile PDA running Memory Map. Want full paperless caching, including (optionally) trig points, full cache listings, hints (even on Memory Map) and more? All with one click? PUP-Port v1.0 for GSAK is ready! Grab the ZIP file, unzip it on your desktop, and follow the instructions within the contained PDF file. This is based on using GSAK and a Windows Mobile enabled PDA. The install may look long-winded, but there's no manual file copying / drag-and-drop, nor editing of .ini files etc etc, which I believe is a first. Plus it's got full Trig support, and additional support for Motorway Mayhem, Sidetracked and more! Get it here : http://www.nwcaching.co.uk/PUP-Port.zip Support will be given here : http://www.nwcaching.co.uk/forum/viewtopic...?f=2&t=1471

Paul is currently responding away from the Groundspeak forums here - lets hope the ban gets revoked and common sense prevails!

It can't be serious, can it?!?!?!?!?! Tempted to request a 120-day ban myself - It'll do me good to be kept off here, I've got loads of jobs that need doing round the house. Seriously... no-one likes a bully, Jeremy. I think you've made an error of judgement here.

Reflective pins in trees, allowed or not.
PopUpPirate replied to the_dog's topic in United Kingdom and Ireland
Awwww can't we keep him! He's like an angry pet! Ex-ranger POV - A few tacks in a tree won't do the tiniest bit of damage. -
Bloody hell, that didn't take long
