Hi NuttyRachy, I'm Smokeypugs the manager (if that's the right turn of phase) of the Village Sign series. alan666notb suggestion is a good one as I don't often look at the forums here. Thanks to abiherts for bringing to my attention this question. In answer to whether Streatley is a VS or not is no. The longer answer is the series was set up to celebrate the more traditional signs that villages put up to mark the turning of the millennium or jubilee or just the history of the village. We have had requests and placements for signs such as this and this has caused augments within the community. As such we've had to be a litre more stricter on what counts for the series. We now ask for a photo of any proposed signs if I can't find a google image. If you find one locally and you aren't sure send us a PM (our profile is added to each cache in the series and if you find one that isn't you can locate others via the bookmark list). I hope that explains why the answer is no. I'm always happy to answer questions about the series so if you want to know more send me a message here or on FB. Hi who do I notify if Fredi & Gimola are logging caches and not signing physical logs. They claim finds on several of our caches and I know of 2 more COs that have experienced them doing the same thing. I know it's cheating and they are cheating no one but themselves just think that it should be reported but to whom? TIA

Quick and hopefully simple question if I download a Wherigo cartridge can I use it in the field while not using my data on my iPhone like saving caches on the app?

Hi Ukbackpack I'm from the Uk and Orange wants £1 a day for 20Mb! So saving all the caches on to phone + GPS and leaving the logs till I get home I'm just hoping I don't miss out on any souvenirs!

Thanks for the quick replies peps! FunnyNose great idea Ill do a little research! I will still have the problem if I cant unblock my phone I believe as we are Morris dancing in the sticks of the Czech Republic! Here's hoping I can't log late and still get my little box souvenir!

Have a quick question for you lovely people: During the August challenge we are away in Europe and as our mobile operator charges extortionate amounts for data we won't be logging till our return late August will we still get the souvenirs logging this late?

Legochugglers how rubbish at caching do you think I am? A whole day to find 1 cache at that rate it would have taken 3 years to get to the number we've reached! We happen to be going for a family meal in that direction and I've stated in my previous post IT WILL BE QUITE ON THE ROAD! how interesting will it be is to be discovered but that's my point we have to be let be able to find out for ourselves!

I just want to wiegh in on this. I know the location well as pass it twice a day 5 days a week. It's a busy road most people do 70+ mph so it's not recemended to go bimbling across at 17:15 on a Friday afternoon! It is however on a footpath (public right of way) and therefore IMHO fairgame for a cache! There are other local caches in far more dangous locations planning permission denined GCM1EQ this is on a round about just off the A41 and as a driver I wouldn't expect people to on a roundabout I would expect them to be on a footpath! We did GCM1EQ while Andy Murry was playing in the semi final and the roads where quite! We were planning to do Frogger on Xmas day WHEN THE ROAD IS QUITE! it's all about picking your moments! As for the reason for the cache well why not it's more interesting than base of a tree!
