Today I am placing a cache for Halloween. I have come up with an idea to do a short term cache (especially
to celebrate holidays). I have named this type of cache a "Term Cache". This particullar one will be available for the month of October. I would think future Term Caches would run from 2 weeks- 2 months. The pros to these type of caches are that the area will be opened up after a short time for other cachers, there won't be a lot of wear to the environment in that area, shouldn't have to worry about caches being left uncared for. Another idea for using this type is maybe there is some event going on you would like to celebrate with a cache and to bring other cachers there. You could set one up for the term of the event. If this idea catches on as a new type of cache, maybe a clock or stop watch could be added next to the original icons for caches. Please let me know what you think of this idea and I will post back letting you know how the first one goes.
