Thanks everybody!! I decided to forget about the driving aspect. I bought him an Oregon 450t and I've programmed it with some local caches so we can give it a go on Father's Day!! I'm pretty excited... I hope we can find something (I programmed some beginner caches).

I have tried to put the .gpx file in the 450, and it isn't pulling anything up. I put it in E:/Garmin and E:/Garmin/GPX Neither one worked. What am I doing wrong? Nevermind. I am an idiot..... Do you remember what you did wrong? I can't seem to get any loaded on mine either. Thanks.

Thank you all. I will look for a geocaching GPS. I am looking at the Oregon 550 and the eTrex 20. GPS City has both with Canadian topographic maps (as a bundle). Are there any other types of maps or accessories I would need so that we could try it out when we get it. I would like to set up a little beginners trip for the weekend that he gets it. I have looked, and there are a number of caches, some which are beginner caches close to us. Thanks again. JS

Hi, I'm looking for a GPS for my husband. I would like to introduce him to geocaching for Father's Day. Is there a GPS he could use for both Geocaching and for driving (we live in Canada)? I am 99% certain he will love geocaching so I'm not too concerned that we will get one and it will never be used for that. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. JS
