  1. Right now, since I am new (meaning lots of caches near home are still available) I go for the location. But will be running out of those. I really don't like the micro caches, but still look for them. I enjoy dumping out th larger caches and going through all of the loot, even if I don't trade anything. I really enjoy the multi-caches. They are my favorite. Most of the caches in our area are all park and grabs. So they don't take up much time and you could do several in a day without taking up the entire day. Jenny L
  2. I don't have that many caches under my belt, but have checked back on two just to see if I could still find them without a GPS. Neither of the two were covered up in any way, shape or form. Just laying out in the open. One of them very visible from a road that gets a lot of walking and biking traffic. I covered them both up in the same way that they were when I found them the first time. How hard can it be to cover them up when you are done? Or did the last people just figure that the find was too hard and needed to be made easier for the next person? Am I just a cranky person when it comes to this or what? Thanks for letting me sound off. Jenny L
  3. I have a container that is approximately 4.5 inches tall and 3 inches by 4 inches wide. An old cocoa container. Would this be considered a mico-cache or just a regular cache? Jenny
  4. I always carry a small roll of toilet paper in a plastic bag and also an empty ziplock bag to pack out any paper waste that may be used. That is just the scout in me though. Jenny
  5. I'll bet the reason that I haven't been able to find some caches was because I wasn't being sneaky enough. I just walked right up to the spot. I will try your method of crawling up to the missed spots and I'll bet I'll find them this time. Thanks for the great tip. Don't want to give those caches any advance warning of impending openings. Jenny
  6. At last someone understood my real question. Everyone else misunderstood. I could figure out the placement of the cache, I kinda just tossed it on the ground. But when it came to covering it up, I was stumped. I tried kicking ground cover over the cache and when that didn't work I tried using a long stick to sweep junk over the cache. Well, duh!! I just never thought of bending over. Thanks, for the great advise. Jenny

  8. I have 9 finds with several more hunts planned this weekend. I would like to place a cache now. Does anyone have any advise or tips that would help. I have already read the spot on this website that tells how to place a cache. Thanks, Jenny
  9. I haven't hidden any yet. But I have only been geo-caching for a 9 days. Have 9 finds and one didn't find. Actually there were two other couldn't finds, but went back on another day and found those two. I would like to make a hide but am waiting for an aquaintance to come back from vacation to help me with my first. Jenny
