  1. The Events Calendar page shows Event Caches sorted by date and time, then country and region. Before we added the events time feature, all events were treated in the database as if they were happening at the same time - so they appeared to be sorted by only country and region. As we have added new ways to find Event caches, we no longer actively support the Events Calendar page. To find events in your area or in a specific region, we recommend the following options: Event calendar widget: The dashboard provides a calendar widget that shows upcoming events near your home location. Click the gear icon to adjust the radius in which you would like to see nearby events. Filter and sort on the new map: On the new map, filter for Event Caches. You can then sort all events by placed date (old to new) to see upcoming events. Optionally, you can further restrict your search to see all events in one region.
  2. We have just released a fix to the Add To Calendar feature on website cache pages: The Google Calendar and Outlook/iCal links are now updated. Events with event times are now added to the calendar in the time zone of the event. When you add an event from another time zone to your calendar, the event will show on your calendar at the time that it will happen in the time zone of the event — for example: If you are in Germany and you add an event in Seattle to your calendar, the event will show on your calendar at the time of the event in Seattle time, 9 hours earlier than the event time - because Seattle is in a time zone 9 hours earlier than Germany. Your time zone is based on the time zone preference in your Geocaching.com profile.
  3. Thank you for all the feedback in this thread. We are reading this thread and documenting the feature requests and bugs. Of the bugs that have been identified, two are now fixed: Event Caches created in Firefox using the 12 hour format no longer show a date of NaN Invalid Date NaN. GPX files downloaded from the cache page no longer show the incorrect time (and date). Instead they are showing the time entered by the CO without a specified time zone. The fix for the GPX files downloaded from the cache page did not fix the similar issue with GPX files from PQs. We are looking into that next and will update this thread when the fix goes out.
  4. Thanks for your feedback. The recent release added input fields for event times to the cache submission process and on the edit page. Changing the functionality of the "Add to calendar" link was not part of that release, but we are looking into updating that functionality.
  5. Thanks for the feedback! We are considering updates for this feature in future releases, adding the correct times to the calendar link is one of the features on that list!
  6. Thank you for this suggestion. For cache locations, we currently only support regions that are one administrative level below the country level. Here are two examples: USA (country) -> Washington State (state) -> the next level down is not supported Germany (country) -> Bavaria (equivalent to state) -> the next level down is not supported
  7. In this case we went with the spelling on the official UN country list, which currently is "Macao".
  8. Thanks for clarifying! We have submitted a request to update this link. We'll let you know in this thread when it is done
  9. Can you confirm on which site you are seeing the broken link? When I click on the Link in "I have read and agree to the Terms of Use Agreement, the Cache Listing Requirements Guidelines, and the EarthCache Guidelines." it takes me to the correct page (http://www.geosociety.org/GSA/fieldexp/EarthCache/guidelines/home.aspx).
