What is the deal with downloading the Magellan communicator... I've downloaded the stupid thing 5 TIMES and everytime I try to send a cache to my GPS it says that I don't have it WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever since I signed up for alerts for new caches I've been receiving spam in my inbox,I've had this email for over a year and never received any spam in it,I use it mostly for alerts from my banks and such but figured I would have been safe with this site. If I knew I Groundspeak sold email addresses I would have made up a new one specifically for it. To say I'm not happy is putting it mildly,in all honesty I'm down right PISSED!!!

if I just want instant notifications for caches that people hide then what type do I sign up for, Earth cache? Seems like all the choices are affiliated with some kind of event or special group.

What is the members tab? I thought it was for premium members but even though I upgraded it still says that I can't access it. How do you know when there's new caches?

What's the advantage in having the premium membership if I already have the paid app?

Found 3 more today Learned some stuff too. The main thing I learned is to check little places that just don't look right Even though I see that it can get a little frustrating,I'm definitely getting hooked

Thanks for the congrats and the info Scrapcat,it helped a lot,I was able to record my find.I think I'm already hooked . Someone gave me an Explorist 200 GPS,is that a decent one to use,I would actually like to get a nice one that I can send coordinates to in the future,any suggestions?

I DLed the free version of geocaching.com on my iphone and set out to try to find some. After 2 failed attempts(and getting a little frustrated) I was about to give up for the day, I started walking back to my car and figured I would check to see if there's anymore,there was another one in the area,so I set out to find it,AND I DID!!! Can't believe how excited I actually felt..lol.There was some stuff in it but I didn't have anything to leave,I'll go back with something only because I want a souvenir of my first find.(if that's permitted that is).The first one I tried to find was supposed to be right at the end of my road,but I didn't come across it,i think it was supposed to be inside the guardrail. The 2nd one I tried to find I came across a tag nailed to a tree from munzee.com,could that have been it? The app said to record it on here,how do I do that?

Would this be a good unit for a newbie?
