  1. I inadvertently switched 2 numbers in the coordinates (06 instead of 60) of a newly published geocache. When I try to edit the coordinates, it says that since this is over 528 ft from the original location I need to contact a reviewer -- but when I click on the link provided to contact a reviewer, it just takes me back to the very same page and says the same thing. Please help.
  2. I'm on a laptop with Vista OS and I log in, it shows I'm logged in with my name in the upper right corner, but all the caches still show "??" for the coordinates. I've tried refreshing the pages as well as logging out and back in. This happens both with Firefox 3.014 and IE 7.06. EDIT: Never mind, I had to validate the account. didn't notice that before!
  3. Okay, okay, I get it: a lot of people can't see the stereograms! I will definitely warn you about it on the cache page and I like the idea about adding extra copies in case anyone needs to take it home. I'll do that too. I just didn't realize THAT many people can't see them. I wear contacts with a pretty strong prescription, I have a slight astigmatism but I can see stereograms in about 3 seconds, so I thought only very few can't see them. I may even consider hiding something else nearby that's harder to find, but offers the coordinates so one can try either way. Thanks for the good ideas.
  4. You know those Stereograms, also called Magic Eyes where you have to look at a pattern with unfocused eyes to make a 3-D picture appear? I've seen some caches posted on here that have part of the coordinates in the stereogram. I'm making one like this for a multi-cache and the stereogram picture will be in the first stage, giving a portion of the coords for the second stage. My question is: in my posting of the geocache online should I say that there is a stereogram at the first stage or can I leave that detail out? I'm just thinking that someone that KNOWS they can't ever see stereograms might be disappointed, but on the other hand, it's a neat surprise, isn't it? What do you think?
  5. Thanks Black Cat, that's just what I'm looking for!
  6. I have a Palm Pilot phone that is web enabled but geocaching.com is one of the few websites that won't work on this phone. Is there a mobile version of the website?
  7. Thanks for your help. I just signed up for a premium membership. Now, when I try to create a new notification, which option do I check off from the menu if I want to be notified of the newest cache's -- "publish listing"? "enable listing?"
  8. I've only found about a dozen caches and I'd like to hide one. My thought is to hide it on a small island in the bay near our beach house. The only way to get to it is by boat. I usually take a kayak to it but other boats and jet skis can access the island as well. Is this okay? Or will some geocachers be upset with me for not making it more easily accessible?
  9. How do I find out about newly hidden geocaches besides just logging in everyday, searching by zip code then going through all the same geocaches day after day waiting for a new one? Is there a way to be alerted automatically of new geocache postings? Is there a way to sort the search results by the date hidden? Thanks for your help.
