  1. Mum? Dad? What was it like living in the wild, foraging for yourselves and enjoying the freedom away from these humans?
  2. Great work eusty. It's thanks to cachers like you that make life so much easier on the trail. Keep it up son.
  3. The fact that Seattle is 8 hours behind probably doesn't help either. I'll see what's in my inbox when I get home tonight.
  4. To be honest, I usually delete the find logs for my caches without reading them. I'm more concerened with the DNF and NM logs. The game is evolving and progressing either with a push by Groundspeak or not. No point moaning I guess. But then the forums would be a lot emptier if we didn't.
  5. Wait til you get 3 finds from the same cacher for the same cache on the same day with nothing in the logs. Seen that 4 times in the last month.
  6. Good idea to go digital. You can then retrieve the camera every so often, upload and return. Cheap too.
  7. Perrrrfect. I now understand.
  8. Thanks everyone. I'll test it and see how I go. Cheers.
  9. Is an Unknown cache a puzzle cache? As when I download a PQ with TRAD only, it still includes puzzle caches.
  10. Hi, TRAD and PUZZLE caches used to be seperate on PQ's, but now, for some strange reason, they are bundled as 1. Can I perform a PQ without puzzles? Without having to use GSAK or similar.
  11. Hey Slack-Bladder. Don't presume your cache location is more worthy than the one 430 feet away. The world is a big place. But to answer your question. I'd ask your local reviewer to review your proposal before you go ahead. Only he/she can decide your fate after all. PS...I will apologise on behalf of Moote to save him the trouble.
  12. Some things are worth the wait. Great news. Hopefully I'll meet your new friend at a future flash mob event.
  13. You could ask your local reviewer to update the coords for you. You could update the coords with 2 jumps. But you may get rumbled. I did. You could archive it and let all the locals add one more to their tally. Either way you're acting in a responsible manner to avoid doggy-doo-doos.
  14. Good Luck. I don't think you'll get your answers here though.
  15. Germany does have an excellent record for hiding things they don't want most people to know about. Thankfully it's just small containers these days.
  16. Yes indeed. It's an uncommon variety of cache. Better than a nano (if it stays dry) IMO.
  17. I'm so bored with charity this and charity that. If it's not a picture of some malnourished African kid, it's some celebrity walking up a hill or spending a few days with the malnourished kid's family. And those enthusiasticly annoying Chuggers! It's in the forums, on tv, posted thru my letterbox and at work too. I'm alright thanks.
  18. Mine is. But I describe it as..."The logbook is enclosed in something quite flat and held by magnets". I bit more upmarket than your description.
  19. I have no intention of seeing said film. It doesn't interest me in the slightest. If a cache was named after said film, then that would neither entice me to find the cache or go see the film. To think it might is...rather foolish. A pub serving a great pint of Black Sheep bitter would be a different matter.
  20. That'll go nicely with recent logs we now receive on some phone apps.
  21. Yep. The new maps have now been updated so we can also see our finds and ignore various types of caches. The OSM and Cycle ones are good for various trails too. I do use them more and more to check cache trips. Spain has a few good ones now, especially N and S of Girona. The Germans love to cache. The French are more keen on other pastimes.
  22. With always-on, "push" e-mail/Twitter/FB on an increasing number of phones, I think that text messages have a bleak future. I certainly hope so. Only for those of you who can afford upwards of £200 a year for such a tarrif. I know you're from Oop Norf, but surely £4 a week won't break the bank / dole.
