  1. Oh Dear, Oh Dear SP. I was making a real effort to be on your side until that pic. Now if you'd have chosen a bint that was more attractive, then I may have remained impartial. Now the cachers that were against you have real ammunition. Your Fired! I'm out!! Hey Hazel S. Groove is always in the Heart!
  2. But the resources page states the following... "There are not going to be many rules for this race but one that is going to be implemented is that each cacher can not dip travel bugs into caches and then take them to another cache".
  3. Excellent resource. I also use this page for various maps too. LINK
  4. I've been to a few events. not camping though. perish the thought. I'll stay anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple of hours. I signed the log. I attended. I left. for whatever reason. Not all events are worth a long stay. some are worth leaving as quickly as possible. Just as at any social get together, some people you meet are quite boring. I either leave or drink more. Better to leave me thinks.
  5. Great journey for a TB. I doubt many achieve their final aim. And only 3 years from SE England to the NW.
  6. I smoked for 25 years. Weed for 18 years. Smack, Crack and Ice for a night or two. I don't ask for thanks or even praise for giving up. I just live on and cache. PS..the above is 100% true. Congrats. I guess.
  7. I rarely cache on a Sunday. Men in shorts don't excite me on any day. Ladies on a Saturday grunt too much for my sensitive ears. And I too have multiple caching personalities Mr B.
  8. I have to agree with the reasoning behind this new thread of Delta68's. Whatever reason they may have for wanting to park off road, the fact remains it is a UK relevant question. Those mods move in mysterious ways. Hey, I've even seen threads just disappear into the ether. PS...how was the concert last night?
  9. Just remember that an overcrowded city has little room for large cache containers. If you aren't partial to micros then I'd PQ them out. That'll make London look less congested. But also give you less caching possibilities too.
  10. Just got back from such a series. I actually gave up about a 1/3rd of the way round. I just lost interest. The nettles just added to the fun.
  11. 3 years ago I bought an iPhone. The #1 reason was to allow me to use the gc.com app to grab caches on the fly. It was so hit and miss that I gave up. I bought an Android phone next using said free app. No trouble since. Shame if c:geo disappears. I'll find something else that works I'm sure. Not a $10 sub par one at that.
  12. Thanks for satisfying my curiosity NattyBooshka. One day I hope to have the courage to forget about the numbers. Maybe soon. Thanks for putting up with my intervention Lambert Loonies. I shall now move on to pastures/forums threads a new.
  13. Now I'm really going off topic. As this one is hitting a dead end anyways. I'm currently very intrigued by the veracious forum poster known as NattyBooshka. Caching for 8 years, but haven't logged one for 5. And now a forum hound, posting like crazy. Sorry for being nosey but....???? PS.. apologies to the USA mod for going totally off topic. But forum threads do seem to go that way don't they!
  14. I haven't read others replies as my time is precious. 2009? Move on and look forward to 2012. If that's possible, here in London. PS..I apologise to those that don't like off topic replies. But is it?
  15. Sounds like a publicity and marketing thing to me. But maybe you could name it a "TRAIL FOR HEROES" cache and then your quids in. PS...I'd have found 3 caches before my free 30 minutes were up. Cache ain't gonna happen dude! Just my opinion of course. That's what forums are for, right?
  16. A very professional piece of work I thought. I reckon the showing of an "extreme" cache will not entice many new followers. That can only be a good thing. Aneka Rice has aged well, but still looks like a halibut. She don't float my boat. The most amazing thing was finding out Gok Wan is light footed! (I'll apologise in advance to mtn-man for going offtopic)
  17. That's about 4,00000000000 times more expensive than a watertight 35mm film container. And if mine get's muggled I can replace for less than next to nothing.
  18. Hi I've spoken directly with Longfram Kev and we are at a dead end. The supposedly unzipped file is not showing the correct MB's. Should read around 514MB but he has confirmed as 115MB. He is using Winzip, but I cannot fathom why it is not showing as the correct unzipped file size. He has a folder on his SD card named Garmin, but the file still shows as unzipped as far as I can tell. I think we both need the A-team on this one. A simple operation is proving somewhat harder than expected.
  19. PM sent. ALMOST - 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
  20. Although I have much respect for many of our friends in the good old USA, I find it difficult to reason why they have to moderate the UK forum pages. They don't really understand much of our acerbic humour. The only adjective they know is the word "awesome". They think beards are a fashion statement, and they aren't exactly close neighbours. Can't we have local mods that can do their job with the liberalism that the Brits are famous for. Just a thought. I'm now off to Germany for a week to share some jokes with friends, old and new. And they are supposedly #1 at lacking humour??
