  1. When playing an Adventure Lab my iPad mini 3 and iPad mini 4 will ask me to calibrate and give me a circle to roll the ball around. This happens repeatedly while playing a single AL even if the ball does roll around the circle without locking up the device. This does not happen with my iPhone or our Android devices or any other app. I've tried all the suggestions from doing research on the devices and AL app. How can I make it stop asking to recalibrate.
  2. Having a map on the app to show, visually, the locations would be helpful. Yes the front page gives the labs and number of miles away from me. Not helpful unless one knows their geography quite well. In my case, 1000 miles away can be at least 3 directions away.
  3. I tried the new app. It is OK. Must allow for lack of cell reception. I like the older version better. I could enjoy the area, write down the answer, and log them all later. Next question: I'm not finding a map in the app that shows the general location of all the lab caches. Something like the regular cache map page where I can get an idea of how many hundreds of miles they are away from me. Evidently I must go to every lab and look within it to find their location. Just on spot would be good.
  4. Does the app have a map that shows all the locations of the labs? I'm not finding one on the app. On the regular caching map, we can look at caches around the country to see where they are. In my case, they are hundreds of miles away.
  5. My Etrex20 has done the same thing. Even tho I thought I checked it after loading the caches, I get in the field and have zero caches on the GPSr. This time it happened where I was closer to home to go fix it. I spent probably and hour trying to get a fix and finally found this one. I tried Gitchee-Gummee's suggestion. Didn't work. Tried Chrysalides suggestion and it worked. My irritated and frustrated question is: What mad it happen in the first place.? I usually download caches with the send to GPS button on map or send to my GPS button on caches page with no problems. This time I loaded some caches and those showed on the GPSr map but all the old ones were gone. SIIIGGGGHHHHHH Peacefrog77
  6. thanks. I've tried some of those ideas, but not all. Now I'm debating buying another tablet type to use with geocaching. I would rather have a bigger tablet or small laptop. I can't break that in my pocket or drop it on a hike. Any suggestions about ones that do or do not work well? Seems that kindle fire is not a good idea.
  7. I have the same problem with mine. Using a stylus doesn't help, making it larger doesn't help, someone else's finger doesn't help. Any ideas?
  8. I have a coordinate of 37.97548119 -92.76798604 for a trailhead. The book calls it decimal degree method. Which of the settings on my Garmin extrex 20 do I need to change to make it work with that format? I think it is in position format but I don't know which one of those settings to pick. Thanks for help. Cathy

  10. I want to use pictures as part of a puzzle to solve for a new cache. How do I put the pictures in the cache description page?
  11. As a newbie, I'm not sure I understand the purpose of Waymarking. I have really enjoyed the virtuals. I've tried a few waymarks, but don't think I like them. They give a picture of the thing to find, they give most of the info about the place, they give the info on the plaque at the site, they give the location. So, what is the fun? Don't really need to go to the site if everything is on the website. Maybe it is the mystery of the virtual. You don't necessarily know what you are looking for. There is the cute little map with the cute little happy faces for a reward on the virtuals. that doesn't exist for the waymarks, unless I've missed it.
