  1. I have been _______ for five days What surprises me is the amount of vituperation that I see in these and other forums. While I can see room for improvement, here, and on other ________ websites, I am not willing to engage in niggling arguments. _____________ is for FUN, PEOPLE! Fill in the blank with just about any other activity known to mankind, find an internet forum about it, and get back to me on the "vituperation". _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This fill in the blank is right on the head. You have to dredge through an awful lot, to get to the good points of forums. This quote above, is perfect, because I have seen the same type on many forums as well. In some cases there is way to much scurrilousness.
  2. My test to check my Avatar...
  3. Exactly my thought, that is why I went with MapSource City Navigator. I am now figuring out how to use GSAK, getting my first pocket query, so I can figure out what and where I am going.
  4. Thank you all for your support. I have decided on the city, since that is where I will be doing most of my hunting. Besides, Florida is becoming more city than country anymore anyway Thank you again!!
  5. Good day fellow Geocachers. Trying to decide what city or topo software to add to my Garmin 60CSx. Since I live in the city, but plan on doing trail and city locations, would it be better to get a Topo or City software? I don't really care to know the best restaraunts in Saint Petersburg, FL, but rather, setting a waypoint, and getting to my destination. I would hate to buy city software and find that topo would be better for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I know opinions are high when asking a loaded question, but I did not see anyone really recommend a Topo software company....would it be my best choice to purchase the Garmin Topo, or is there something better out there...for Florida and the east coast? (I know, let the honest opinions flow) Cheers,
  6. Geeze, really a Neocache here. Have no idea what to do the first time. Is there anything published that gives step by step on the process of getting waypoints from the website to my GPS? I know how to search for my waypoints in my location..check. I know how to pick a few, or all of the locations...check I know how to download those to my computer...check I do not know what to do with the LOC files once there. I thought I could just put those files into transfer directly to my GPS. But, I guess I have to convert the files to something that my GPS can use, because I guess you can't directly transfer files to GPS??? Any help?
