1. Only because there's no record of the thousands of Hungarian storks... In stork density Hungary is #2 after Lithuania and you only have more because the human population is more! Guess you can feed more storks... We don't have a single żubr though so go for that instead! Seriously, what happened to the eagle idea?
2. Hello, dear Polish cachers! Let me contribute to this thread. I've managed to go through all your letters with some bloody translator so pretty much know what the situation is. As I am not Polish, you might find an outsider's opinion interesting... I like the front side of the coin (or is that the backside, whatever) with the outline of Poland but the other one... Sorry to tell you, but the stork (bocian) is Hungarian! At least as Hungarian as Polish! For me the symbol of your country would be the eagle (orzeł), dunno why it wasn't included in the recent argument, perhaps because there was a previous design of them? In the żubr vs bocian debate I'd cast my vote for the bison. With a bottle tied around its neck...
3. Ebben a történelmi pillanatban elkészült a geocaching.com magyar fordítása!

A hus dolgok számára új témát nyitottam.
5. "Én már meg is tapasztaltam a változás szelét" - Ez mit jelent? Mi történt ilyen hamar veled? Ha nem haragszotok, új témát nyitottam neki, a hus dolgok talán nem tartoznak az OFF kategóriába. Ramgab, mit tapasztaltál? A comos népséget hogyan érinti a változás? Miért mondott le az elnök?
6. Or you don't want people tp grab you by the arm and take you to their home, then wait until they finish all the loggong of caches and turn to your number.
7. Minden lap alján megtalálod a szürke sávot, abban az Email Supportra kattints.
8. Thank you for the explanation.
9. Ez jó hír. Remélem, nem csupán virtuálisan tették le.

School Project
13. Well spotted. Grüß Gott, well, that's the only term I hear/use when I'm in Burgenland, that's the most eastenly bit of Austria.

Kíváncsi vagyok a beszámolóitokra!

18. Bless your ravens! We still don't have a definite travel plan, I'll send some CS requests whenever we're sure on which day where we'd like to stay. I'm sorry to tell but we'll be missing the tower out this time. Probably at summertime, when the ravens move northwards we shall dare to have a look at the tower. Do you know any geocachers on CS around Porto or Lisbon? Thanks.
19. When I was first chased by cows through a field I was scared to death: Standard Issue The second time I was looking out for them but they appeared from nowhere and I only had time to jump over the stile, my bike has been left on the other side: Ashby Round - Step Up. The last time I met a few of them I had 2 metres off of GZ but was on the other side of a gate and there were 15 of them on the other side. I really wanted to find the box so had to combat my fear, I explained them what I'm doing there and they even tried to help: North Pole, South Pole. Once I've met a boar like 50 metres from a cache, I turned around and walked away knowing that decision saved my life. Found the box another time.

21. So, you're about to spend the most wonderful days in your life in Hungary. Good on you. You might be familiar with some of our events (Sziget Festival, Hungarian Grand Prix, the daily Noon Bell (Pope Callixtus III ordered the bells of every European church to be rung every day at noon, as a call for believers to pray for the Hungarian defenders of Belgrade)), our words (biro, kocsi (couch), paprika, gulyás (goulash)), our cuisine and drinks or Liszt Ferenc and his Hungarian Rhapsodies. If you can’t recall all of the above, let me offer you a cute page which helps you to get to know our country: http://thehungariangirl.com. Then another one, dedicated to tourism: http://www.hungary.com. A video of Budapest: .While you’re reading the rest, why not to listen to some Hungarian folk music: . Hungarian cuisine Most people asking us if we could describe what's Hungarian food like, described into few words the following sentence would explain: greasy, spicy but dadgum delicious. Often involves paprika, onion and fat, just like a holy trinity for Hungarian cuisine. There's a Hungarian saying: There's no such part of an animal which can't be eaten. This saying is very true for the following meals. Pacal - Tripe (beef stomach) stew Kocsonya - Pork bits in jelly Körömpörkölt - Pork feet stew Hungarians are especially passionate about their soups, desserts and pastries and stuffed pancakes (palacsinta). Two remarkable elements of Hungarian cuisine that are hardly noticed by locals, but usually conjure up much enthusiasm amongst foreigners, are different forms of vegetable stews called főzelék as well as cold fruit soups, like cold sour cherry soup (Hungarian: hideg meggyleves). Hungarian cuisine is arguably the spiciest cuisine native to Europe. The combination of paprika, lard and red onions is typical of Hungarian cuisine, and the use of the thick sour cream called tejföl. As for drinks, you can have whatever you prefer. We’ve got spirits from the East, beer from the North and West and wine from the South, and among these there’s an equal share of the market and consumption. Try Tokaji or Villányi wine and our national spirit, pálinka! Hungarian recipes: http://www.cooks.com/rec/search?q=hungarian http://www.dmoz.org/Home/Cooking/World_Cui...opean/Hungarian If you’re looking for information on public transport, bike rental, cultural events or translation or anything else, post it here as well. We’re happy to help you.
22. I managed to find a venue, it is called the República da Cerveja. Dunno if it is any good but I like the name. Have you been there? I had a bit of an idea, geocachers could meet by the flags where the virtual cache is then walk up to the bar. Do you fancy the idea? Should any arrangements be done beforehand, like table reservations, etc?
23. Thank you for warning me! Think I'll be all right with those stronger ones, I'm currently training myself on ales and ciders with 5-7% vol. Will warn my friend though! I've had a look at the manufacturers' websites, let me say, I prefer Super Bock now, anyway, I don't ant to advertise it... haha, never even tried. As for the wineries, I'm on a uni student's budget so prefer not to go to posh places. I'd like to have a geocaching event set in Lisbon, probably on the 24th of January, could you recommend a venue for that? Am still making the plans for our trip, I vaguely know when and where we'll be. Now I'm familiar with the national railway routes and made a list of potential places we'd visit. If we can spare a day or so we'd go for the power trail next to Jerome. There are places like Vila Real, Aveiro, Covilha, Figueira de Foz, Sintra, Santarém and Coimbra we'd visit but I think we won't have time for all of them.
24. Stone me but I'm into white wines, so Vinhos Verdes I suppose... We'll definitely have some port as well, once we are there we've to go for it! I like ales, bitters and stouts but also drink lager and spirits, of course. Would you recommend any of the above in Portugal? Any native spirits by chance? Do you eat cheese with alcoholic drinks?
