yes, i guess i did, but its got accuracy, ill bring my garmin and magellan with me on my geocaching outings. ill learn everything i can about my garmin. it seems like a great unit. i need to get to know it better,

Oh yeah, i still have my Magellan, so im by no means stranded, i just thought id see what all the garmin rage was about, i paid very little for this garmin. $25.00 for the gpsmap60cs. I can afford to experiment.

I dont think garmin sucks, they are different than Magellan. I have a Magellan Explorist, and i like it. It lags, takes about 3-4 minutes when turned on to catch up to my current location, but for geo-caching its always brought me to the caches and Magellan shows the page with the caches name, difficulty terrain rating, hints, recent log entries, and when you do find the cache, it lets you log it as found, so when you get home you can log it without having to remember the number. My garmin gpsmap60cs doesnt have all that info. that i know of. I just bought it, and i am going to get to know all of its functions.

It sounds like you may have loaded them into the GPS as waypoints rather than as geocaches. Can you describe the process you're using to load them? Okay, i logg on to geocaching.com, then ill plug my gps ubs cable in, and ill find the caches i want to download. then itll come up, and ill click on the word, write then itll download it, but i only download one cache at a time.

I just used my garmin, after having a magellan explorist gc. my garmin only has a number, not the cache name, there are no hints, no recent logs, or difficulty/terrain ratings. no options to enter it in the gps as found. Is it an option on the garmin,? Or just on the Magellan explorist? Help me if you can. Thank you, Geojakeyk10
