  1. you do have to take out batteries to get to card but its not that big of a deal.. 6 to 7 seconds,, screens are really good, locks on fast and stays there .... for 323.00 you can get the combo unit with topo maps and 12v adapter
  2. new expedition got here today ...seems to go through the menus better than the other one...it musta had a glitch or somethin in it...
  3. like the "others" havent sent out any units with software problems...
  4. they were very cool about it...said some kinda update was in the works and i could wait or send it back...i called tiger gps where i bought it and they said ship it back and we'll replace it....they offered any other gps they sold if i didnt want another but i wanted the same one...
  5. turned on the expedition the other day and waited and waited....could not find its self...hmmm....was fine three days ago...called tech. support......held probley 10-12 minutes....any way had me do some kinda restart(held 2 or 3 buttons at same time) which did fix it but after that several times while on menu screens it would beep and lock up and restart....dadgum...they are shipin me another one out..

  9. screen is really good .....easy to see... seems kinda hard on batteries with back light on but mine will be hooked to cig. lighter most of the time
  10. i havent been able to use mine much but so far really like it...waiting on mount for rhino
  11. mine is on the way... it wiil be my first one so i cant compare it to anything ,,but after lots and lots of price checkin it blows the others away.... unit + topo maps + 12volt adapter+ram mount +external antenna still came in well under 400.oo ...
  12. i dont think the lowrance has autorouting but this will strictly be used on 4 wheeler(yamaha rhino) to map out trails in the woods
  13. i have researched this to death, (im gettin ready to buy my first gps) i cant find a reason not to buy the lowrance, im lookin at the expedition..325.00 WITH topo map, everybody tells me "no ,you want a garmin" but they cant tell me why...i know they have most of the units out there but i have read lots of posts about problems,
  14. looking to buy my first gps (will be used mostly on atv) checking prices at tiger gps.... lowrance expedition color plus (comes with topo maps) 323.00 ....but a garmin with same features is well over 500.00 ??? are the garmin that much better? i dont want something that will give me trouble or cant find a lock or whatever...just seams like a big price differnce
