  1. Texas Star Hibiscus False Aralia Japanese Maple Potentilla pulcherrima Some strains of these plants have leaves similar to Marijuana.
  2. Excellent . Thanks very much for sharing this. Nice userscript and instructions
  3. Gold or silver - tough decision. I went with the gold
  4. Cool coin! I used that design on a box I made for my wife a couple years back. I'll definitely be buying a coin to add to her box
  5. Some good ideas in this thread - I'd like to see more pictures. Here's some of mine;
  6. I print this out to the size of a credit card and then run it through a small laminator to protect it. I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my phone number
  7. +1 Great topic and lots of cool pictures. I'll add a few more; GC2QVT8 Slocan tunnel – part of an old highway. GC2E0Y3 Saddle mtn lookout. Abandoned forestry lookout GC1AVTM Labarthe Tunnel – an old train tunnel. A dam was built downstream and now this tunnel fills with water seasonally.
  8. Lots of cool pics in the topic, glad I can add some...
  9. Yes, I remember that now. There's 2 ways to get to the top of Brilliant Outlook. Most people hike up from the bottom, but you can also drive up to the ridge from in behind the golf course and then walk along the ridge to the caches. Happy caching!
  10. Hi JessiJames8287 - welcome to the Kootenays! I live in Castlegar, there's 3 caches up on the Brilliant Outlook, but I've never heard of a cache called "in the roots"?
  11. Cardinal Red hit the nail on the head. Those waypoints that weren't showing were too far away, although they were in the GPS. Thanks for the responses
  12. I've tried uploading from both the cache page and from GSAK but my GPS won't accept anything coordinates north of a certain latitude . I've also tried entering waypoint N49 40.000 but when I change it something north of N50° 40.000, the waypoint is deleted from my GPS. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  13. Same thing just happened to me - no smiley faces for found caches on the map
  14. Some nice pictures in this thread, here's a mountain goat and a wolly marmot from Valhalla Provincial Park
  15. A long as you're properly dressed (and stay active), temperature shouldn't be a factor. Although it is tough when you have to remove your gloves to roll up that micro log sheet - you're fingers can get numb quickly. But the worst part about winter caching are those pesky yeti.
  16. When I'm out geocaching, I hope an animal never bores a hole in my head and lays its eggs there because I might think I have a good idea but its really just the eggs hatching. And if I die I would like to go peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather did. Not screaming and yelling like the passenger in his car. Also, if when you die you get a choice between pie heaven and regular heaven, choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if not mmmboy!
  17. There's a lake in southern British Columbia (Canada) named after a reported sasquath encounter in the 60's. I put a cache there, but have yet to hear of any sightings...
  18. Another similar sign located outside Castlegar, British Columbia (Also near a highway)
  19. Nice work Aniyn. I'll have to be on the lookout for one of those
  20. I agree that the text is a little lame. I had a few different sayings running around in my head, but none of them were really funny. If someone can give me some great text, I'd gladly change it. Thanks for the few nice comments, it was nice to see Cagey catch the subtle humour.
