I have taken to collecting those signiture items. We have a great group of geocachers here in Utah and this last summer we had a scavenger hunt and for every 6 specific items on a list you received a token for a raffle at a group party. I won a GPS for my efforts. We had a great time and I am sure it will occur again. Plus I admire the time folks have taken to build some of those signiture items. I have left new pc mice as my signiture item but that got kinda expensive so I got to find something else.

I have been using my laptop to get to general area on caches and it helps a great deal to see maps in greater detail. I also save cache sites web pages on laptop so I save paper. Then I write my feedback on the caches I visit while I am there so I don't have to try to remember what I did. I has been a great tool.
