Good afternoon, I have been geocaching for the past 2 years and took my sister in law with me. She is really keen to start with her iPhone, but I am not sure which app is best and easiest for her to start with and for me to show her how to use as I use a gps. Could anyone suggest an app for iPhone please. Thankyou

I dont know how to turn the gpsmap off, if i go into set up and system, i can choose between garmin and mass storage there. i have followed the instruction you gave me from that screen, but im not sure thats where you mean. i am so new to this, i have only done basic geocaching on the gps, its when i became a premium member that things went wrong. please advise how to do the above. kind regards lorna ford

Hey sussamb, i am using a garmen cable but only have the one. do you know how to delete all existing info from Groundspeak so that all basic member is deleted? also my garmin keeps saying its lost satelite reception which is a new one, i have tried changing the batteries but no good. kind regards lorna

yes it is turned on. i have tried on and off, in and out, and round one of the back ports. no joy as yet im afraid. thankyou for your reply. kind regards lorna

Hello Gitchee-Gummee, i have not tried that yet as i am not sure whether i delete it from gps and how to do that. do i log attempts as failed and will that delete them. Or do i need to uninstall geocache site? and if so will i lose my premium membership? please advise many thanks for your reply lorna ford

Many thanks to all that tried to help me in my last post, since becoming a premium member, i have tried several ways to download new caches, and followed your advice on how to resolve this. when i plug my gps into the usb port (garmin etrex10), it is not detected on the geocache site when i try to download new caches. i have tried the plug in that garmin has a link to, and looked in my computer and there is no sign that i have attached anything to the usb port. i have uninstalled my garmin to try to reload in case there was a virus, but when i plug it in, it still dosent respond. have i downloaded a virus, since my upgrade to premium member as it was all working well before i done this. can anyone help me that has had this problem. many thanks lorna

Hello Sussamb, I have a Garmin Etrex10, when i go to send a geocache to my gps it says the gps is not detected. i have tried setting up pqs but the gps is still not detecting. i have tried installing a plugin, as advised on the panel where you write the geocaches to the gps, and i have checked that the gps is still installed on my computer. all seems ok, but its a bit above me. many thanks lorna

Hello No its not in windows explorer but i have it in program files, my browser is internet explorer. what i cannot understand is that it was all working fine before i upgraded to premium member. i have tried send to gps on both the map by clicking on the cache and also clicking into the cache for details. thankyou

Thankyou for your reply. i have a garmin etrex10. Can i ask what PQs are? i have looked for a file named gpx on the actual garmin and on the garmin file on my computer but cannot find this. kind regards lorna

Hello, wondering if you can help me, i have just upgraded to a premium member and tried to send geocaches to my gps, but the site is not locating my gps system, i have tried downloading the latest version. is my computer not compatible for upgrade, it is a windows xp system. i do already have geocaches stored on my gps, do i need to erase these first. many thanks lorna ford
