mailman-zero here. I got my GPSr a week and a half ago. I've been reading here for about a month. Been wanting to start geocaching for about a year.

I had heard the term geocaching a number of times before I actually looked at geocaching.com I think I first heard about it almost a year ago. I was listening to TWiT a few months ago, and Leo was talking about "podcaching." I decided to check out geocaching.com and I started to get really excited. I finally got a GPS this month and have been having tons of fun! I'll be at the Let's Do Launch meetup in Encinitas tonight. I can't wait to meet some fellow geocachers!

Definately the A610. It is similar to the A520 but with superior image quality and more manual controls available. An excellent first camera for a beginner witha lot of room to learn enough to be ready later if you want to move into something like a DSLR. It has an excellent automatic exposure mode, too.
