  1. Why are the Ukrainian caches still active? Groundspeak should pause them till the danger passes. And that might be awhile. Some of the cluster munitions could be mistaken for caches. not to mention that their location, coupled with map, can give some fairly accurate location data for artillery. I don’t post this to cause division. Just trying to protect as many innocents as possible.
  2. Just for the record the spinning compass has been fixed for quite a while now in newer software versions. Thank you yogazoo. We updated it (3.20) and it stopped spinning, now it is just 60 degrees off on the main compass when the geocache compass is spot on. Weird. I am going to update it tomorrow to 3.50 in hopes of fixing that issue. still looking to get a 64 tho as a backup.
  3. Looking at getting a GPSMAP 64 series to replace the Monterra with its spinning compass. I had a 60CSX that would only take 4gb microSD, I am curious how much the 64s take? thanks in advance.
  4. The GPSr saves logs as "Field Notes". If you're using the "Garmin Outdoor App" (the built-in App), it appears that the file structure and file names are the same one you'd use with other Garmin GPSrs. If so, go to the Field Notes section of the Geocaching site, connect the USB cable, and follow the Garmin instructions. I have an idea how you can send field notes directly over wifi. If the above info generally works, and if you get Google Chrome and Astro File Manager set up (and perhaps other web browsers and file managers would work), it looks like you could upload field notes over wifi. Using the field notes and the usb cable worked like a charm. thanks for your help.
  5. Sorry if I duplicate but I've looked everywhere. We just got the monterra and like it so far. The problem I've encountered today is not being able to figure out what happens to your "log" if you submit it while offline. With the geocaching app it would save it in the log tab and then you could submit them all at once when you back online. I can't seem to find this in the monterra (using the built in geocaching program). Thank you. Also what's the normal time it's been taking to charge up. Mine seems to be taking forever.
  6. Hello, I've searched the forums but cannot find an answer. Is there a way to access lists of caches that I have saved on my iPhone from my iPad? Also is there a way to see the logs that I've submitted on my iPhone from my iPad. It seems odd that the information would be stored only on the device it was created on. Thank you.
